I just tried to correct of couple of photo attributions. When I open the capsule in edit, the photo disappears. It won't let me upload another photo either. The capsule looks strange, no icon to click to upload. Is this possibly because the links are broken and photos are no longer available? I just think it's strange that it happened I think 3 times in different hubs. I had to stick ad capsules in the white spaces for now until I can find more images.
It just happened again. I checked for broken links and there are none. It's as if something is eating the images when I click edit. This is awful.
Spooky. I had to click "done editing" and go retrieve image from my files for a redo. But it's still happening.
That has been happening to me tonight to and what I had to do was close it and go back in again for each capsule I wanted to edit. Then it would let me but only one at a time. Glad you mentioned this though, I thought maybe I had too many capsules, lol
I thought it was my computer or my browser. I've been working on a hub for over 3 hours and was just ready to save it for another day. I have been getting more aggravated by the hour. I'm so glad to hear it is not just me. WHEW!
janshares - I'm not editing, I'm working on a hub from scratch and it is still happening to me. If I put a photo in place, with the link, and forget to add description, when I go back into the capsule, that's when it disappears. So it is not only older hubs, it is happening with new hubs too. I'm going to quit for tonight and try again tomorrow.
I can no longer put 6 hubs that are pictured and featured on my Profile page. I tried to change them earlier today, and was only allowed to put 3. I write about Astrology and always have 3 each month, the Sunsign, Moonsign, and Famous People of the sign. But I write about a lot of topics on HP besides Astrology, and not having more room to feature hurts my already hurting views.
I asked the question on a forum, and somebody who obviously didn't understand my question or issue blew me off with a dumb answer that had nothing to do with my problem. I suspect I will be told it is something to do with pixels. But I had to change almost every picture on my hubs when this feature was new, probably more than a year ago.
I tried to vary my lineup that I wanted featured. I chose 3 new hubs, and saved them. I went to look at them on my profile page, and they were gone. No featured hubs in the carousel. So I kept trying. Once it let me put 4 hubs there, but after saving, I had no featured hubs on my profile page. Has there been a change? Could the administration possibly find a person intelligent enough to give me a correct answer? It's annoying that we have to keep making changes, but even more so that you can't be bothered to answer a question. I have written good quality pieces for this site, and feel deserving of notifications of changes. I gave you pages and pages to let advertisers advertise on. The least you can do is answer me.
Did you try it using the Chrome and Opera browsers?
The HP staff will be back at work on Monday. If you tried both of those browsers (which is what they will probably suggest first) and you still can't do it, then open a new thread under technical issues on Monday and include screen shots of what you are experiencing. I seriously doubt that you are losing visitors because of this issue, as annoying as it is. Visitors are usually coming directly from search results and most do not even look at your Profile. Besides, you claim not to have much traffic anyway.
So, try other browsers and if it still doesn't work out, post a new thread on Monday.

Yes, I have been having trouble in capsules lately too. Sometimes when I go into a capsule to add text or whatever, it will not allow me to do so. I have to actually get out of the hub and sign out and sign back in, and then it may allow me to do such. So, it sure did take a long time to get a hub published the past two times!
It also happened with my Hubs, so it must be a glitch (?) - glad it's not my computer.

I had the same problem when I was adding images to my Aga Hub. I uploaded them and when I looked back they were not there. I uploaded again and then found I had two so had to go back and delete them. I thought it was me. The images were my own so I could not have been because of a broken link. I had to go back and delete the duplicats.
I had the same trouble last night, then again this morning. Someone on another forum on the same topic suggested clearing your computer's catch. I did that last night to no avail.
Did that, still a glitch in the editing images mode. Image disappears and one has to edit hub to get the image. Then if one uploads a new image to hub, it is in DUPLICATE, then have to edit hub, and the duplicate image is deleted. When will this return to normal?
I had trouble with photo edits as well. The old photos weren't deleted (thankfully), but I could not load new ones. I tried several different browsers, too.
Did the same, it's a glitch. Hope it clears up soon, I am currently writing my 381st hub.
I noticed this morning when I entered the site that there were comments showing against Hub which were not displaying their images! They returned after a while.
Have also been having problems getting into the site recently - my computer says the site will not load. Is it just me?
I always hit refresh when this happens. Refresh works in edit mode, but not with an open capsule edit. I close that, refresh, and then reopen the capsule I'm editing, whether it be a photo, text, table, or other. ***
Thanks for confirming the problem everyone. I'm on overload right now with getting Christmas bazaar together for this Saturday. I have several spa baskets to make for my table, and I have clients all day today. Therefore, I need a break from HP, no time to figure out how to maneuver a glitch. I will return next week to do some hubbing. (Sigh )
I'm sure the bug will be fixed eventually. Sounds like a good time to take a break and I am postponing publishing my new Hub until it is fixed because of the time involved to deal with this glitch. Good look with your offline business endeavors, Jan!
I've been having some problems too ... double pics when trying to add photos, must refresh before trying to edit another capsule ... hope they fix the glitch soon. Irritating
anyone know how to report this to HP? I have never done so before.

New to Hubpages and need a little help with photos, trying to make my photo capsule smaller, is there an easy way? I've tried making my image smaller before exporting it and it comes out the exact same size just really poor quality. Thanks!
I am having the same problem with a new hub. I've tried everything from emptying my caches, changing browsers and many of the tips people have already tried. Hope you are working hard. We lose money with this. Thank you.

The captions in the photo capsules used to be centered, now they are flush right. Not sure why the change. Makes the captions look awkward?! Would the HubPages designers consider changing this...
