      Indeed I do. Remember him/it? Little green (sometimes white) strange little creatures eating everything in sight.
      
      Obviously we were easily entertained back in the day. Compare and contrast, PDS. Pacman vs (insert as appropriate) I know aa will say Minecraft!

   It's adding extra work for me. Do I have time to go through all of my hubs in order to check the work Editbot does? I have seen some of these minor mistakes. I think it is a great idea and I get that Editbot is a robot and can make errors, but now I have to go back behind the Editbot and either let it go or fix it. It's just one more thing to do, that's all.

   I can see the corrections I need make but how do I make the correction when it is in the comment section of what someone else made. There is no correction or editing button on other peoples comment. Please inform me of how to change these. Thanks

      Bill, Editbot has already made its corrections. The only thing you need to to do is to review them and either leave them (the checkbox to the left of each correction defaults to checked, which means the correction remains implemented) or reject them by unchecking the checkbox, which causes the correction to revert to the original text. You can go into the HubTool and make the edits manually, if you wish, but it won't affect what Editbot does, so there isn't any point in doing it.
      
      As for comments, the only one who can edit them is Editbot. If you don't want the comments changed, just uncheck all those checkboxes.
      
      One way to tell what your hub looks like to your readers is to sign out of HubPages and then view your hub as the public sees it.

   Comment mistakes count against your page. Google ranks your page lower because of grammar and spelling mistakes. Ergo, you could have a perfect article lowered because of the content of the comments.

   Spot the difference -
   
   This screen will not allow me to copy the Tick Box and the Color, This offering is compliments of Editbot. 'vice versa.'
   
   These are in Lynn's comments on "Pets.  Do they own us or do we own them?"
   
   " . . . wonder if they own us or vice-versa.    "
   
   Both are acceptable according to my research.
   
   
   This kind of editing fills in our time and the email pages, but is hardly helpful.

   I'm just a little concerned about Editbot's correction in one of my hubs because the correction is within a quote I used from a book written by a friend of mine. Editbot changed "try and make sense" to "try to make sense." There's something problematic about correcting a quote from a published source. Shouldn't a direct quote be a direct quote?

      So you untick the box and it goes back to being a quote.
      
      You do NOT have to accept the changes made by EditBot.

      No - it should't.
      
      If you have reviewed the suggested corrections (ie click on "show corrections") then that should be it.
      
      HubPages is telling us that:
      1) EditBot is supposed to be intelligent and learn from the changes people make (and the "try to" substitution for  "try and" is one of the most highlighted changes that people did not like/want - e.g. I changed all of mine back to the original - and those changes have stuck)
      2) next time the EditBot runs we should just see NEW EditBot suggestions with respect to any changes in content
      
      There will be a revolt if we see all the same old ones back again!

   I hope that EditBot is going to recognise proper English. As I am not American, I spell words as they should be. Labour, harbour, doughnut, organise.
   What do my fellow users of the Queen's English think?

      Since I started this game I have tried spelling the American way.  I want American traffic and sales.  No one in the UK has any money.  Amazon is USA or UK but not both - at least not easily.
      
      The color of dollars.
      
      Doesn't work of course.  Turns out they love the English.  We are quaint, grey and slightly damp.

    It would be very nice if we could make our own corrections to our own comments on a hub. I have one hub where I would very much like to correct a flagrant typo that is rather important. It's a typo that the Editbot would never pick up! Because of a typo that I failed to catch, this phrase: "resting in peace" ... became.. "resting in peach" Please consider this request.
