   World Peace advocated by Gandhi & Martin Lother King by the act of Non-Violence but Obama announced world piece in a modified system of Non-Violence – a subject of discussion:

      You don't see the irony?  King said non violence and never raised a hand and was killed.  Obama... says peace but violence is necessary.  In my opinion, he has the same mind set as dictators of violent countries.

            Not sure if Kissinger qualifies, the secretary of state can't declare ware, or order troop deployment, or set ROE's...but there are:
            
            1978 - Anwar al-Sadat, Menachem Begin
            1994 - Yasser Arafat, Shimon Peres, Yitzhak Rabin
            
            By your loose definition I would also include Jimmy Carter.

            A man is committed to world piece and his sending of 30,000 American troops to Afghanistan is subjected to withdrawal of Forces by a fixed time period unlike Vietnam War. In addition to that the selection of Oslo can not be undermined as because the decision of Nobel award has never been miss-fired till its inception.

      unfortunately the timing was bad...right after he agreed to send more troops, it was time to accept the prize. i thought he didn't want war and would end them as soon as possible but
