Can you watch a horror movie by yourself?

   Hehehe...I hear ya. I love horror movies, I used to watch them by myself all the time, but depending on the movie, I WOULD make sure all the doors were locked!
   
   Nowadays....I can't remember the last time I was actually alone. Hmm. That kinda sucks.

   I would probably like them better if I would watch them alone, than with people.  Usually, though, they just bore me, so I end up day-dreaming, then get scared and jump when there is a loud noise.

   No problem for me, I have been watching them alone since I was about 10, (used to put on the TV in my room and watch the old Dracula etc movies alone). Still love to be scared, and watch them alone quite happily

    Certain types of horror, yes.  Other types, especially the psycho type, no, no, no.  I just don't watch those ones alone or with a group.

    I often watch movies alone. This is mainly because I sometimes would bring a friend, and they would not stop talking through the entire film. And, were often very embarressing.
    
    If you have ever watched Scary movie, there is a scene where a guy takes his girlfriend to see a movie, and she talks through enitre thing, eating fried chicken, talking on her cell phone, and saying..."Oh god! don't get in there!" And, starts fighting with people in the audience. Because she won't shut up! That would be my friends.
    
    As for Saw. Yuk. I would not pay to see that garbage. I don't like those kind of movies. I'm more of an Aliens or Preditor kind of guy. I once saw Halloween resurrection, the most worthless horror film I have ever seen in my entire life!
    
    So, I usually watch films I have seen before at home alone.
    I bought an old film called Burnt Offerings that used to give me
    the creeps when I was a kid. But, it's not scary at all.

    Well, I watched Psycho at 1 am on a TV channel. The ads were spoiling the effect. I was not really scared but could not stop looking over my shoulders

    I use to watch scary movies all the time when I was like I dunno 8-9 years old. Which is now why I am scarred for life.lol I dont watch scary movies at all anymore even if I am with  my husband. I cant subject myself to the horrible nightmares the follow the movie.

    I'm thirty nine, and I still cannot watch a scary movie by myself. 
    
    Saw a Haunting in Conn. with all the lights off, with my kid, under a bunch of blankets, and I still could not finish it.  I'm such a wimp.

    I grew up as a very adventurous teenager and watched every video nasty going throughout the early 80s as well as all scary movies to date.
    
    I've watched so many that they simply don't affect me whatsoever and I will also mention I have such a creative imagination that I usually work out what is going to happen next before something happens.
    
    My friends hate watching movies with me because I always work out the plot long before the film ends. I usually have a great insight and hunch of what is going to happen and I often play a game within my mind when watching a movie, I try to see how quick I can work them.
    
    I also have no joy in watching a movie over and over again like some people. I can't see the sense of sitting through another two hours of something you've already experienced. Life is for living out experiences and not for repeating them.............
