We made a small update to the site today.
The biggest change is the addition of milestones in hubtivity. You'll be able to see when people reach certain numbers in hubs published, traffic, fans, requests answered, answers to requests made, anniversaries, etc. By default you are subscribed to see milestones for all users, but if this is too much you can always adjust your preferences. There are a few more entries than will be typical for today as there were some minor issues with rectifying all the old data. Going forward there should only be around 20 milestones achieved each day -- so it should not be too overwhelming, and is a good way to discover good authors that you may not have noticed.
The other significant change is that you can now flag requests. The volume of requests has been steadily increasing, such that it is difficult for us to keep up with the without some help from the community. Flagging a request simply alerts us that there may be an issue. No request will be removed without being reviewed by us.
There were a lot of other small changes, including some email improvements, rss capsule improvements, etc. As usual, let us know if you have any trouble using the site after the recent update.
Thank you so much for all the different cool things you guys have implemented. I just logged in a little while ago to notice the milestones, and only have one question: Will there be any display of these on our profile pages in the future? They're awesome so far, though - seriously! ![]()

They will appear in the hubtivity on your profile page as they occur, and at some point we may show all the milestones you've achieved on your profile page.
Thanks for the updates, especially request flagging, which I'd been considering asking for. Milestones look interesting too. Always fun to get rewards, even if they're just pixels on a screen. ![]()
Cool. I like the new features, you are always working to improve the site.
Thanks!
At last! A site update after such a long time.
I had problem with getting email verification code. It became OK after i gave a new email id.
All changes made are really good.
Nice updates ![]()
Thanks for this type of updates !! ![]()

I noticed that. I'm only showing as having reached membership milestones and not any for pageviews, and it looks like the same has happened to other long-time authors.
Will that get fixed or just skipped going forward?
I'm also loving the improvements.
One thing I noticed when I completed my Jaguar hub was there was a link that appeared over the first picture on the hub that said "See all 9 photos".
This might have been a previous update or maybe it rolled out with this new update, but I love it. I'm assuming that once a hub reaches a certain "minimum quantity of photos" requirement, the link shows up? Pretty sweet.

We only keep hubtivity for 60 days, but we have recorded the date of achievement of all milestones going back in time for potential later use.
These are awesome updates! I'm so excited to see the new Milestones rolled out.
I wonder when I'll get my first medal?
I am so looking forward to one of those pretty medals ![]()
I'm liking it. It helped me to discover hubs that I hadn't read and hubbers I've not seen.

Okay. Most of the milestones indicated I achieved over a year ago, so that makes sense.
However, I just got my 600th fan within the last week, is there a reason that doesn't show? Or is that not a notable milestone?

600 may be notable, but not to us.
The milestones get progressively harder to reach as you work your way up. We tried to balance the goals of recognizing significant achievements and getting up and coming users a little more visibility, with not having too many milestones reached every day (so that everyone doesn't just unsubscribe). We'll get the thresholds into the FAQ soon, but they are listed below. In most cases, the top couple levels of each category haven't been reached (and may never be reached).

Thanks for the list, Paul.
I've achieved more milestones than I thought...
Medals...Yeahhh... I like medals. After accumulating a bunch of them can we get knighted?
Just kidding. I love the improvements.
Thanks hubteam super duper job.
regards Zsuzsy
Fan mails are not being send to those hubbers who have not verified their email address.
This Mandatory Email Verification for joining a fan club was only made yesterday.
What about people who have joined before that. They will not be getting fan mail unless they verify their email address.
How is it possible if Hubpages do not send an official mail asking them to verify their email address.
Without this no one will be knowing the new change and no one will get fan mails delivered.
Do something about fan mails to old members or everyone is going to miss new updates.
Only 50 or 60 people visit Forums daily, so most people have not even noticed this.
New members will be prompted to verify email address, but what about old ones who only check the emails to know whether there has been an update by their favourite authors.
