Asking questions of HubPages staff

   I'm not sure where to post these questions, so I'll post them here and hope they get picked up.
   
   I want to know how many people are registered to HubPages, how many hubs get published per day, on average, and how many hubs there are altogether? Does anyone have this information?

      The shares are determined at random each time a page is displayed.  The affiliate id generally has to actually be output as part of the page, so we don't really have the luxury of deciding whose share it is after a click

         So your saying aether the author or Hubpages affiliate id is set before the page loads? So it can come up in any order, but for 10 total page views 4 are Hubpages and 6 are the authors?

            They are chosen at random, so there is no guarantee that in 10 page views that it will be exactly 4 and 6.  It will follow a binomial distribution.  I explained the statistics behind it a little more a while back.

   Currently about 600 new hubs are published a day (which is one new hub every 2 minutes or so).  15-20% of hubs end up eventually being unpublished by Maddie for a violation or removed by their author (for whatever reason).
   
   Total Published Hubs: 135,242
   Total Published Users: 27,629
   
   Hubs with 1,000+ views in the last month: 1,929
   Hubs with 100+ views in the last month: 13,591
   Hubs with 10+ views in the last month: 61,703

         If someone manages to do a million in a month, we'll come up with something.   There are a couple of hubs have already hit the million mark for all time, and some others that are well on their way ...

   That sounds promising Paul! although having a million visitors a month sounds very rewarding in its self!!
   
   I was actually asking if a hub thats published reaches the million mark, in the "Total Published Hubs" which are 135,242 at present, do they get a prize?
   
   Sorry, i am in a greedy inquisitive mood at the moment! lol

   If there are about 600 hubs published a day that would come to 219 000 hubs a year of those lost 20%...that is still 175 000 give or take per year.
   Paul said there are somthing like 135 000+ published hubs. Hubpages has been around for how many years? I finally get to my question: What happens to the hubs from the beginning of Hubpages. Hubs that are not "actual" anymore? Substandard hubs? What about hubs by authors no longer around...? Are they still published or do they get wipped out...if they do get thrown out what is the criteria...need to have been read xxxamount of times.
   
   (a quick calculation just for your information 135000+ hubs at an 5 minutes to read and comment on is 11250 hours of reading, a full time job is roughly 40hours/week...281+weeks of reading...5.4 years) Talk about job security. Now where is that remote tropical island with internet connection? I've got some mega reading to do...I'll see ya guys in 5.4 years...to pick up the next few years worth of reading material)zs

      Just because there are 600 hubs being published a day now doesn't mean that was always the case!  In fact, we get more hubs a day now than were created in the first two months of our existence combined.  However, some of the hubs from the early days are still around and doing quite well.  You can find the earliest hubs here (you might have to page up a few pages, depending on when you access this link):

    1 million views on a single hub ? Can anyone give some examples because this is quite amazing, this kind of traffic is to be seen on an YouTube Vid.
