How often to you go to the gym?

If you do not go to the gym, what do you do to keep yourself active?

Never!  I kick my own ass at home!  Weight training, walking, dancing to the radio!
If you don't do it for yourself no one else can!  I was an fitness instructor for many years.  People came to the gym but many didn't put a whole lot of effort into it.

They just liked to say they went!  You gotta want it and then do it!

I don't go to the gym because I like to be outside to get my activity for the day.   I power walk 3 miles every day and stretch but I do it all outside.

I go to the gym at least five days per week. I alternate among the treadmill, recumbent bicycle, and resistance equipment. The gym to which I belong is a mile and a half from my home, so there isn't any excuse for me to not go.

Never! I workout at home (outside and in the garage and sometimes the bedroom or wherever,) also at the park. I also get a good workout at the TaeKwonDo studio. I'm working out hard in one way or another 5-6 days a week. Less if I'm worn down.

Absolutely never. I do not like exercising indoors at all and cringe at the thought that there are so many shared pieces of exercise equipment with everyone's sweat and germs on them. Put me in a park any day instead.

During the Summer I went to the gym every day. Now I go about 3 times a week. I dont do cardio at the gym, I just lift weights. Cardio is free, and I think people who do long endurance cardio are wasting their time at the gym. Weight lifting could also be free, if you went into the woods, and picked up a heavy log. You can bicep curl, shoulder press, sqaut, deadlift, and even bench press with a heavy log if you bring a blanket to lay or or something. There are so many other ways to exercise besides going to the gym.    You can run hills, run stairs, or run laps. You can swim, play sports, cycle, box, take martial arts, and more.

I go to the gym at least three times a week, but try for four or five.  For the most part I run on the treadmill, but my husband is trying to get me to start using the weights!

I don't go to the gym.  Instead I exercise at home or outside.  My favorite way to keep myself active is to bike to provincial parks in the summer.  I explore the park by biking and hiking in it then I relax at the beach.  While I am biking and hiking I also do some nature photography.

At home I use my exercise equipment and my body weight.  I also have a Wii.  Recently I have been jumping rope and shadow boxing.

I have a treadmill and weights at home for the winter months and in the decent weather I go outside and hike, garden, etc.  As long as you keep yourself more active than inactive that's the important thing.  I take the stairs, park in far away spots, walk more than drive when at all possible.  I set timers when working to ensure I get up every hour for at least a few minutes.  I play the wii with the kids - there are tons of ways to stay active and get exercise that you don't have to pay a gym membership for.

In fact I did a hub about it a few months ago 101 ways to be more active smile

I don't go to the gym, I workout 5 days a week at home. I mix it up between insanity, 3-6 mile runs, and p90X depending on the weather. I love running in the middle of summer (I live in PA so it can hit 100 some days). I hate lifting. I'm definitely a cardio gal.

In fact,I am sorry but I never went to the gym and the reason is money.

I never go to the gym. My activity level needs to be elevated certainly...and when I get the gumption to do so I go walking on my treadmill (during inclement weather) or outside. Sometimes I even deign to lift some weights or play some exercise game on the Wii.

3 days a week to crossfit then I try to get 2 days of the Insanity workout in my garage. The best workout i get is when i play basketball. If you can get involved with some sport or activity like that it is a win win!
