What is your ultimate goal for writing at HubPages?
Other than satisfying my love to write, my ultimate goal is to polish my writing skills to the point being able to produce a novel that will do relatively well. So, what is your ultimate goal for writing at HubPages? And do you feel as though you are progressing positively towards that goal or goals?
My ultimate goal is to take over the world through literary subliminal messages. I'm secretly building a sleeper cell army. Everyone who reads my hubs or hub questions are infected. Oh and I also just enjoy writing.
I've only been here since April, but my goal from the jump has been to become a better writer. I can see I'm already making progress when I compare my newer Hubs to my older ones. I'm definitely on my way!
This is my thinking also. Just to become a better writer and to see the progress as I continue writing here.
Georgie, I have to agree with DS, you are certainly showing improvements with each and every hub. Good job!
To make friends and influence people by providing an uncensored look at life and reality from the eyes of the self abused mental state of one sick individual. Oh, you've already taken that one. Well, I guess to write in different areas to see where I can go broke the quickest, then. It seems to be working well in all areas! Ultimately, I'd like to finish a book I've been working on for over a decade. Working forward again in editing up to chapter 7.
My ultimate goal is to achieve a writing skill as my own and thereby win the appreciation from others.
I love writing and Hubpages encourages me to write hubs on interesting topics. thus, my ultimate goal is to write good articles and improve my writing skills...
My goal is to become better and faster at writing polished hubs and articles, and to build confidence through the feedback and critiques of others. One day I would like to be published in other areas. Hopefully in some way that I can link to my artwork.
Oh, and I also want to become one of those internet celebrities with a huge fan following that will do whatever I say. That would satisfy my evil over-lord tendencies!
To improve my writing & communication skills... To enhance my thinking capability, vocabulary & knowledge. To explore myself to the world & form a unique & ultimate identity of myself. Moreover to earn money so that i become independent.
I enjoy reading and writing articles but I cannot really say that is my goal. My main reason for working on hubs is to provide answers in my "niche" area. The feedback I get from other hubbers is really great and lets me know that all of this information I have accumulated over the years may be of some use to someone.
Oh, and I would like to make enough money to pay my dog´s expenses. She doesn´t eat much, but then again it appears that no one really gains much writing here, anyway.
To achieve $50 once every two months instead of every three months. So far, I'm slowly progressing. And my other goal is to reach 100 hubs.
Procrastination tool. This is why I love hubpages. Gives me the ultimate reason not to use my brain to the fullest! I have although sent off my 3rd book to be edited. I'll probably be dead before he's done, PROCRASTINATOR! LOL. I just really don't want to get back to my other book, hubpages is my brain therapy, reliever if you will.
My ultimate goal is to make money while helping people and enjoying my time. I think I have helped some people and I do enjoy it but the making money part is not progressing as fast as I would like. I also have trouble coming up with new ideas. Sometimes I think of a bunch of good ideas and start working on them. Other times I have nothing to write about.
For expression, no more no less. That people here are incredibly kind and sweet is a bonus.
I have three goals, to build an article catalog, to make money and to build an audience. The money part is disappointing because of various page view issues, but it is good to write here.
To RULE THE WORLD!!........Hi T T.......I don't actually have an "ultimate" goal, as you have expressed yours......I have a goal, perhaps each day or each week,,,,,short term goals, so to speak?
I need to write. I enjoy spilling my mind, heart and soul in print form, I want to teach, to express myself, share with others, feel a sense of accomplishment and achievement......I choose to be happy and productive and know I am always CREATING......Do you get me?........Mini-goals Love ya girl!
My goal is to educate people about things I am knowledgeable in, meet new people, hone my writing skills, and learn from others about things that I have questions about.
I enjoy sharing my education and experiences on my niche market of fitness. It's also great to get feedback from others. Sometimes they provide updates that I am unaware of and (or) provide relevant information that moves the conversation of my hub along.
My goal on writing on HubPages is to make a bit of money. There are other ways to make money and probably faster and more of it too. But this is more fun.
Well I'll be honest, guess I did it backwards..I published two books..and then decided to write on Hub Pages. ..meeting other writers was important to me, as I love learning what, how and why people write what they do. A chance to bounce ideas and thoughts from one mind to another. It is also a place where I can try other genre of writing other than humor, which is a substitute for sex...gotcha !
now that I have your attention again..I guess the basic fact is a place to meet and make friends that understand what a writer is all about and where they are coming from......thanks for asking this great question..I'm looking forward to other reponses...
My ultimate goal for writing at HubPages is to really get myself out of comfort and write things other than fiction. I also want to see how I can draw readers and what they like. I would love to one day know my strengths and weaknesses and here it's a good way of seeing what I'm good at and not good at. I love writing here and expressing myself. HubPages also allows me to build this huge portfolio of writings that may one day get the attention of someone important. Overall, my goal is to improve my writing for the future.
It is a good place to air drafts of poetry before further revising them but it is also good to explore other creative avenues. It is also a good place to develop a public and - of course - make like-minded friends.
shhhhhhhhhhh, its a secret. Think back, use Mr. Peabody's WABAC machine. There the answer may be revealed, smile. . .

How do you maintain a positive attitude and not give up on writing at HubPages? With the recent google changes, the virus alerts, and the viewer drops, how can a person stay upbeat and positive writing on here? I am beginning to question this.

Is page ranking the ultimate goal? The reason I ask this is because I'm new to this business and so I've been studying Hubpages, SEO techniques and a lot of blog-related material recently and it seems that page ranking is what everyone is shooting for. However, I've checked the page ranking for many...
