   Is Swagbucks really worth the time?
   
   Do you think Swagbucks is really worth the time you have to spend earning "swagbucks" for rewards. I have been using it for about a month, and I've earned a $5 gift card.

   Before Swagbucks started to implement a lot of the captcha's, you could easily make a solid $20 - $25 a week doing the Swagbucks TV and other methods of earning. Overall, since then, you won't make nearly as much but it's certainly adds up for the minimal amount of work you put in. I generally earn about $5 a week which, at the end of the month, means I can buy a few hobby items for fun

   You can do the search terms to earn some cents. Or you can watch the video adverts, but you will really need the time to sit down and watch those videos. I for one prefer writing here on hubpages and watch my cents turn to dollars daily.

   Try Amazon's Mechanical Turk (www.mturk.com)
   
   Search up "survey" and put a cash minimum on it, etc. You'll probably make more doing that once a day for a week than you would make on swagbucks in a month. They've got everything you could possibly imagine on there, and there are tons of new assignments every day. I made over $1000 on there a little less than two years ago doing writing assignments and anything else I could find all day.

   I only do Swagbucks searches; I don't bother with the time-consuming stuff like surveys or watching videos. I am always doing internet searches and would be doing them regardless of whether or not I was on swagbucks, so for me the points don't add up as quickly, but I consider anything I get a nice bonus, since I would be doing those searches anyway.
   
   I also do the swagbucks shopping sometimes, but only if it's something I would be buying anyway, and if I can get the best price on it. For example you can get swagbucks for shopping at Walmart.com, so if theres something I need that's not groceries and I can get it online and pick it at the strore for free (no shipping) I will sometimes do that, say for toys at Christmas or for electronics items.
   
   Once I have 450 points I trade it for a $5 amazon.com card, because I always need something there and it seems to be the best-priced gift card in the swagstore.

   If one has time to work the Swagbucks' system, then it is worth the time to do it. If one if fairly busy and need power for the search, then google is the best route to take.

   Don't put any time into it. It isn't meant as a part-time job or anything like that. Just use it to do your normal, daily searches and the Swagbucks will add up. I probably get about $5 a month with it, but I didn't out any time into it that I wouldn't have with any other search engine. If you want to make money back for buying things online, use MyPoints or Ebates.
