No I don't think they ever will. The USA wants to play Politically Correct games and play at war instead of trying to win the war. If the USA really wanted to win the war over there they could but in doing so they would seriously piss off a lot of people in a lot of countries. Both Russia and then the USA have tried to fight wars in that region but you can't play at war. You have to be serious about winning and you have to be willing to win at any cost. If the USA was willing to use nuclear weapons they could win the war. Blow one city off the map and the rest of the region would fall in step.

Iran and Iraq are about to blow up and may change the world like we never thought possible. We will have more terrorist attacks here in the USA if we don't stand up to the terrorists. That day is coming as sure as water rolls down hill and the grass is green. I fear we may soon have more smoking holes in the ground like we had on September 111th.  I really do think that day is coming and I fear our government is not going to try to do anything to stop it.

Thanks, Mr. B for your input.  I am really serious about the question, and do wish for peace in that area, but I fear that you are correct.

Pakistan will reach a new understanding with its Taliban.  That understanding will endure until the U. S. withdraws from Afghanistan.  At that time many of Pakistan's Taliban will augment the Haqqani Network in Afghanistan in order to regain sway in much of Afghanistan, eventually supporting Al Quaeda in its adventures which are now so prominent in the troubled Middle East.

It will a nightmare for Pakistan and for entire world, if talibans could have there a major politic role. It will depend on how education will play a major role for people in Pakistan to understand what it's better for their country.
