A former U.S. soldier in Pakistan said the U.S. Embassy repeatedly hung up on him as he pleaded for help and wouldn’t let him enter the building to speak with a government official.

The former staff sergeant, an Afghan native, said he traveled from the U.S. to Pakistan to try to help his family escape the Taliban and flee Afghanistan. He went to the embassy to request diplomatic aid for his family and for American citizens, green card holders, and Afghans with special immigrant visas he said were stuck at the border.

"I showed up outside the U.S. Embassy and I literally begged them to let me in," the veteran, who goes by call sign "Legend," told Fox News. "It was that embarrassing. A U.S. citizen is not permitted entry in U.S. soil."

"He said no one picked up when he tried one phone number. When someone answered a second number, he told them he was a U.S. soldier and needed help. He said he wasn’t comfortable discussing details over the phone, given their sensitivity. Fox News obtained and reviewed recordings of several of his phone calls, confirming his account."

"They hung up the phone," the veteran told Fox News. "I called again and again, the same thing. I couldn't believe it. I was in shock."

"I gave up, I gave up," he continued. "They kept hanging up. No matter what I say, they kept hanging up."

He said he "started tearing up" when he left the area.

"It felt like somebody was stabbing me in my back," the veteran, who was discharged after suffering traumatic brain injuries, told Fox News.

Fox News granted him anonymity to protect him and his family from the Taliban."

"We are aware of these reports, but for privacy, considerations have no further comment," a State Department spokesperson told Fox News."  https://www.foxnews.com/world/us-embass … n-pakistan

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pentag … fghanistan  Pentagon says 'dozens' of family members of US troops remain in Afghanistan---

Did Biden not promise all American's would be removed before we pulled out our last troops?

Any thoughts on how this former US Soldier is being treated?

Does it make you wonder how many more American's are left to fend for themselves in Afghanistan?

Actually, does this say something about our society as a whole? It does appear the fact that we still have American's left behind, and are more obsessed with many other media reports that would seem of lesser importance.  Has American's left in Afghanistan just become old news?

There has been a great change on American caring thoughts about fighting for dollars in the middle east killing millions of poor people, mostly women and children. The fight has come home where more of where the money is. Based on sense of take over by germ warfare has been used for pass warfare..

... well, how does one obtain news of Afghanistan? I would really like to know what is going on over there. I'm sure most people do.

... all we want is some truth.

He went back for his family that are not Americans.  And after Pakistan had refused to accept any more Afghan refugees as of July.  So, he went to the US embassy in Pakistan asking for the embassy to openly violate Pakistani policy for non-Americans.

Here is the previous Fox article from October with the same Staff Sargeant:

    Here's some:

"... after the Taliban seized power, the Biden administration froze the country’s $9.5 billion in foreign reserves and stopped sending the shipments of U.S. dollars upon which Afghanistan’s central bank relied.

The scale and speed of the collapse amounts to one of the largest economic shocks any country has experienced in recent history, economists say. Last month, the International Monetary Fund warned that the economy is set to contract up to 30 percent this year."

“All US citizens who have requested assistance from the United States government to depart Afghanistan, and who we’ve identified as prepared to depart and having the necessary travel documents, have been offered an opportunity to do so,” Blinken said Friday.

Blinken acknowledged there are Americans who have remained in Afghanistan because they have family there or do not want to leave. Some change their minds about leaving,' he said."

"Thus far, Biden administration offiicials have said the US will maintain financial and economic sanctions on the Taliban while seeking ways to get humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people."

The Taliban kicked out the existing and rightful government, (or did the US kick them out?) and now they are begging the US to help them.

    WHAT WILL "JOE" DO?

PS Iron Dome and Israel needs to be funded. Not the Taliban.
