Darryl William Crawford a.k.a. "KING DADDY DEE" or "DEELUX" was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA on
December 2, 1972. His first artistic expression began with drawing and he
utilized this skill to escape from the real world and into a realm of
fantasy and action. There, he created still life characters and cartoons,
which lead to the development of his own scrap comic book. His natural
ability garnered the respect of his peers and his eleventh grade art
instructor, Dr. Stevens from GERMANTOWN HIGH.

Darryl fell in love with music at the age of ten. Discovering his gift to
play by ear, he taught himself to play the keyboard and the guitar. He
explored his musical pursuits more vigorously at the age of twenty-six,
which lead him to work alongside veteran songwriter and music producer,
Bobby Eli and William Hart of the Delfonics. Sharing a passion for music
with his childhood friends, Steven Green and Courtney Fleming, the three
set out to create The "Spida' Whole Productions". As an integral collaborator,
Darryl has produced and engineered for many talent such as: Pure Breed,
Zion, Way, and Keyonda Reed. His most notable contribution was on Vivian Green's sophomore album, "Vivian".

In the winter of 2006, Darryl met singer-songwriter/novelist Audrey Bey through the
John Whitehead Foundation. The two collaborated on their first song, "Here
I Go", which continues to receive positive feedback from various music
industry affiliates. With their professional chemistry, the two have
created an eclectic viable song catalogue that continues to flourish.

A man of multiple talents, Darryl's predilection for the written word
inspired him to create his own poetry. Many of his poems have been composed
into love songs. An avid aficionado of the Fantasy-Sci-Fi-Action film
genre, Darryl is currently working on his first Sci-Fi screenplay, "The
Continuum".

Darryl, also works as an optician at Designer Eyes in CENTER CITY Philadelphia.
