Is kindness, love and forgiveness considered foolish in these days and time?

Would you change ( become less forgiving or kind  or loving ) because the world has changed?

Even though the world has changed and people "guard" themselves more than ever before, I believe timeless qualities never go out of style such as being kind, loving and forgiving. It might take a while for people to know who are "genuine" these days, but the relationship that you cultivate will be worth it. Hope this has enlightened you on the subject.

I would say No ! Irrespective of the change, we still have people full of love and kindness..and we will continue to witness such people.

I still strive to be kind and loving. Sometimes it's a struggle and sometimes my state of mind is such that I let the actions of others influence me (such as driving in traffic) but as soon as I remember things like Ellen Degeneres saying "be kind to each other" and the fact that it serves humanity and the earth as a whole to respond positively, I readjust my actions accordingly. I try to remember that insurance commercial (don't remember the brand) in which everyone pays it forward. In the spot, one person's helpfulness carries on in lots of ways, making each individual that person helps feel good which, in turn, makes those people treat others that way. It makes me feel good and gives me hope by proving that one person can make a difference.

love and kindness is still something i believe in. as for forgiveness, personally i think it is a foolish mistake. forgiving people is like saying, go ahead and screw me over, i'll let it go anyway. we would be a lot better off if we pushed back at anyone who wronged us .

I still believe in kindness and forgiveness. I try to treat other people the way I want to be treated and sometimes just a smile can change a persons day. However, I think we all need boundaries. I don't trust people who are not trustworthy for instance. As for forgiveness, I try to practice forgiveness for my benefit. The person  have the grievance against doesn't necessarily know I may have forgiven them but I can move on with my life being happier if I'm not dwelling on what someone did to offend or hurt me. It is not always easy to forgive depending on what the offense was but I don't let trivial things bother me anymore.

I think it is considered foolish these days, ironically by such people who are leading superficial lives.

Reality is: being forgiving, loving & kind is the only road to pure hapiness!!

There are days when Im full of love and simply want to smile to the world, It doesnt always get recieved well, this makes my heart ill. But I still smile anyway, it will find a heavy heart to lift, it always does smile

not at all. Kindness, love and forgiveness will always reign no matter what. The world may have changed but a lot of the people in it have not.

Of course NOT. Kindness love and forgiveness are very fine traits and are welcome during all times. These qualities do make the world of a difference in all times good or bad. These are spiritualistic qualities that make life worth living for both parties- giver and taker.

Kindness, love and forgiveness are among the most powerful positive emotions. They will never become foolish emotions.

I don't believe they are considered foolish but I do think we see less of it demonstrated.  People have been betrayed and mislead so often that they have built a wall around them to protect themselves from being hurt. I like the idea of Random Acts of Kindness.  If we were to do something for others without thoughts of who gets the credit, it would cause a domino affect in our society. It would cause more people to show kindness, love and other virtues to others around them.

Obviously, it is not. Though today, kindness, love, and forgiveness are often ignored by many people, it never means we people do not need them any more. All these are extremely needed in our daily life.

I think these days the three elements of life are really considered foolish because every person is so much into their own work and benefits. however, there is still that group of people(includung me) who can never make you feel stupid or foolish when you are asking for forgiveness or being kind to them. they in turn can give you more than what you expected.

When we (as a society) choose to sow seeds of kindness, love, and forgiveness; we, likewise reap a harvest of kindness, love, and forgiveness. Unfortunately many do not understand this simple principle of sowing and reaping; therefore our world is becoming less forgiving, kind, and loving. I choose to not change according to the world's standards.
