   Why do some people ask questions that are simply answered by doing a simple internet search?
   
   Like about what spices are used in India, or how many owls their are, or other questions that make me think how hard would it of been for that person to do as I just did an internet search? I don't mind answering questions and doing internet searches for the answer. My point is they have access to the internet as do I. My question is just another silly question like there's is.

   This one seems pretty easy:  Social contact.  Ask a question, get an answer--and suddenly you have a conversation.

   There are some people on here who put great store by the accolade system.  They think they have achieved something in their lives by acquiring the petty electronic medal that comes from asking X amount of questions, irregardless of the quality of the questions, or whether they could just type them into google and get a zillion answers in 0.2 of a second.

   In his song, "The Gambler," Kenny Rogers, offers the line, "You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em".  Some people don't know when to fold 'em.   Others know when not to.  Often, still others are trying to figure out  whether or not they ought to hold 'em or fold 'em.

   I think it takes two to tango.  One person asks the question and the other answers. Both by choice.  Or at gunpoint?
   
   If you feel like asking stupid questions, go ahead and test your theory, if you have one or simply see the results.  Will people respond or not?
   
   I found that most answers are valid.  Yes, for creating a dialogue, yes, for acquiring a petty electronic medal...
   
   But what is priceless in those questions & answers...
   
   Things like Robbot -- was is supposed to be a Rabbit or Robot? Go ahead, look up the origin of either word, that can be a question...  Or maybe it was a mix - a mechanical Rabbit, the year of the Rabbit is coming up... (I am just having fun).
   
   Irregardless - another gem - priceless or impricelss? inpriceless? ippriceless?
   
   I don't think we should look down on others, really...
   Live and let live, who is perfect anyway?

   i think people do this because they want different opinions not just what is concidered fact. it's like people who non stop talk about god or lack of god. both cases can be found on the internet but opinion is important also. it's like saying why do people feel a need to try to prove the bible and god when no matter what it is completely based on faith and beliefs not fact.

    Everyone has a computer these days or at least access to one.  I am glad folks still ask folks questions instead of always going to their computer because it furthers communication and the art of debate...I think we need more face to face human interactions...
