Is the existance of God Logical?
After an internal debate between science and philosophy I am leaning towards an answer of yes. This is due to the fact that the scientific explanation for the existence of life is greatly flawed, which leaves only one other possible solution. I usually only believe things that can be proven but this one has me stuck. If 'The Big Bang Theory' and its gases is the scientific explanation, one has to ask themselves...where did the gases come from?
Personally, I do not believe in God. This was a recent decision and there are parts of it that I still unsure about. I think that having a God would be illogical because things existed in space before our universe was created. A lot of what religion tries to teach is true and can be applied on a daily basis, but the existence of one great power seems old school.
Who says the scientific explanation of life is flawed? What else are we going to believe, legends originally written on slaughtered sheep's skins which mix in accounts of talking donkeys? Clearly not.
Study some science and you'll learn about quantum distortions and pair-formation, where equal particles of matter and anti-matter can pop out of nothingness at random, since they still total zero and don't violate any physical laws. What you should NOT trust is the fanatically religious people's stilted and bigoted summarization of science and scientists.
I don't think the existance of God is logical at all. BUT - I do believe there is a God. Most people pick out the bad things in life and ask "if there is a God, how can he let this happen?"
I don't know the answer to that but I believe if we look at everything around us - the good things in life, the beauty of nature, how delicately formed each and every cell is that makes up this universe and everything in it, how the human body is formed and how one organ and system works with and is dependant on the other - then the only explanation left is GOD.
I don't however, have a belief in any particular religion. Religion has its origin based on governmental power and the abiity to control a population while getting rich on the work of the people.
Quantum distortions and pair-formation theories rely on particles being present, my question is; where did those particles come from. Do not simply push the veggies around on your plate and tell me you ate some. Even science does not give us clear answers. Ask any scientist and most of them will tell you that most scientific facts are not actually facts at all. They are theories that make the best logical sense without debate. It's like gravity, we all believe it exists because the scientific explanation makes sense. In all actuality we could be wrong just like our ancestors who thought the earth was flat.
You have a lot of ideas intermeshed that do not fit togther.
First off, define exist. Does a rock exists in the same sense that the concept of love exits? Obviously no. So the first thing to do is figure out what you want to know and then ask that question.
Physics defines exist as having a physical presence, that which has shape and location. That is a useful starting point to deferentiate objects (real things) from concepts (proposed to possibly be real things).
Now you have an answerable question? Does god exist? Does god have shape and location? Yes/No?
Your second problem is in assuming the necessity of first cause, but first cause always has the prohibition of infinite regression - what caused the first cause, and so on and so on.
The only rational conclusion is that there was not a first cause, and thus matter is eternal.
Lastly, logic can prove anything. Logic is an artificial system to test methods of thinking.
What you really mean is to ask is it reasonable to believe in god.
The answer then depends on how you define god. If god is simply all of nature, then it is reasonable. If you say a creator god, it is not reasonable.
not in the least. you state that the explanation by science is flawed and i disagree. it makes perfect sense that we were created by a combination of chemicals, minerals etc. explain how god was formed logically and i might change my mind.
GOD have laid it out plainly for all to see and come to an understanding of GOD by identifying himself as: " I am Alpha and Omega " " The first and the last " " The beginning and the end " Your arms are too short to box with GOD.
One must always not lose track of first principals which is part of our common sense or else things quickly becomes foolish. All observable effects has cause and for every action there is a reaction.
In the supernatural, the same applies in a different form liken unto a potential field.
The concept of God is very much logical. For starters, we have an orderly universe inwhich the five forces can not vary one thousandth of its present value or else we would not be here. We have our bodies and mind operating within bounds established by a superior being. I call Him God.
Infinite regression as proof for anything is a fool's ride. It's more a reflection of our limited thinking. It certainly doesn't prove that matter is eternal.
Life is supported by the material, and was not created by matter. If you have proof that life has been home grown, please let me know. I am very interested.
Finally, where did our unique souls come from! Why are you you and there is no other enity who can feel what you feel.
Stick with first principals.
Well to logically answer the question is this....How logical are you???? Logic between humans varies.... but yet they are all logical....Therefore God is logical.......and another word for this is called ..."Reason" if you reason you will always come to an answer. Some reason is faulty, because in it it contains holes not yet seen as holes and these holes cause a wrong logic, like food with salt and food without salt. Unless you know the difference by having both, then your logic is not complete. The common saying is "Proof of the pudding is in the eating" you cant comment on something you dont experience, that's where you have faulty logic.
in my opion yes it is its very logical think about our bodys and how they function look around you at how the world works everything has a place and a purpose you then tell me that someone or something didnt create this and for a reason
at present I don't believe in God. where is God when people suffer? Did God forget poor?
dont blame GOD for the suffering and the poverty...blame the people. GOD offered man all they could want and all they had to do was obey HIM. man rejected HIM anyways so man is to blame not GOD. HIS is the right to do as HE Wills. HE is CREATOR.
I think it is logical for God to exist.
Some evidence is statistical. When people pray for a patient in a hospital, without the patient knowing, the patient statistically does better.
Some evidence is practical. I remember reading someone else who said the five fundamental forces of the universe cannot vary by a thousandth of a percent for us to be alive. That correlates with the fact that if helium weighed anything other than it does, the universe wouldn't exist.
I think at present most religions have it wrong. They go with tradition, not observation. People have said they are divinely inspired for ages, but we don't know who to believe.
Yes God exists, does he love us? I'd say just as much as any other creature. That would explain dinosaurs and evolution to a small extent.
Yes God is supreme. He is the only existence & others are shortliving.

When god or the creator of the universe made humans, why was He a He? What happened to the other's that we were made into their image? Why doesn't the Bible ever speak of these things?

Who are right, believers or atheists? We don't know how the universe works, and science does not yet have all the answers, so all we can do is assume what we believe in is true. Some things can't be explained, but does that mean there is no logical explanation? These are some questions for you:1....

If nothing can only produce nothing, how did our universe start from nothing without God? There are many unanswered questions in the science and astronomy fields. Since these fields can not have God as an answer, they toss out data that disproves their belief about a Creator. Actually a Creator...
