   Do you think we are alone in this universe?
   
   What's more fascinating? The fact that there might be intelligent life out there somewhere in the universe? OR The possiblity that we just might be alone?

   Never. We are never alone even in recluse; unless catatonic - we cannot assume a state of lethargic mind. We are never alone.

   Not sure. I know that God is a creative god, so he may have created other beings as well. There are so many universes and planets that they can't even count them all. It is amazing and so many and some so far away that it is definitely possible there could be other life forms and we wouldn't know it.
   
   However, I think we can also be really misled by the overall concept when people say we descended from aliens, so I'm very cautious. It's fun to think about, though, isn't it? Maybe there really is an E.T. out there.

   We are not alone in this universe.
   
   Though we may have exploration in the space but our current technology may not allow us to seek out other beings. There is always advanced beings that we may not know of even with our latest technology in science.
   
   It is like we have yet to fully understand our spiritual beings within us. Together with a few friends, we are currently trying to explore our inner self in spiritual forms. It is yet to accomplish but we do know that if we continue to strive ourselves, we will succeed.

   Absolutely not.  We being alone is something a dull materialist philosopher would think.
   
   Deep sea fish are materialist philosophers - they've never seen mountains or air planes, and the fish in the deep have no way to prove that mountains exists or that air planes exists...they are materialist philosophers, and ...atheist.
   
   Needless to say, deep sea fish or sort of stupid.

    i would bet anything that we aren't alone. i honestly think that there are many different planets with intelligent life on them but it could be a long time before we find them.aliens explain a lot of things that have us baffled about earth also.

    If you are talking about people from some other universe, this to is quite possible. It would be extremely arrogant of me to think that earth is the only planet in all of the universe that is inhabited, though I have yet to see or meet another.

    We, as a human race, are not alone in the universe. There are millions of other races of peoples similar to our on, and many that are not even remotely like us at all. Thousands of humans have met and communicated in some form, with extraterrestrials at different times in the past and present. Can you say that any one grain of sand on the beach is alone. I would think not.

    Given the fact that the universe contains billions of galaxies, I find it hard to believe that our miniscule planet is the only one with life on it. Of course, given what we know about the laws of physics, it is unlikely that intelligent life forms in distant solar systems or galaxies will ever come into contact with one another. But then again, our scientific "laws" have been incorrect before, so maybe Star Trek is on the horizon.
    
    Or may God just created the universe as a pretty decoration for us humans to study. (Yeah right.)

    No, there are too many possibilities for life out there for us to be alone. It's just a matter of time before they reveal themselves to us or we find them.  And with all the different sci fi films and books that show a representation of aliens, won't it be eye opening to find out what they are really like?

    I don't believe that there are other physical beings similar to us out there, no.  Angels and God?  Yes.  Carbon/Water based lifeforms on other planets?  Nope.

    I don’t see how we could be.  Our little rock here is one among countless billions.  To me, it is the supreme arrogance to think we are the be all end all of existence.  To quote a movie, “Life will find a way.”  If that statement is true here, why would it not be elsewhere.  How many headlines have we seen stating they found this or that on other planets, asteroids and the like?  They would not be paying such close attention to things so far away if they did not think they would find something.  That doesn’t mean they will ever share any knowledge they get, but if they did not think they would find it, they would not look.
