Do you think you know your purpose in life, if any?

As many of us get older we have the tendency to examine our lives, in regards to what we have accomplished and what we still want to do. Do we all discover our purpose in life? Or is there really a purpose in life?

Embarrassingly, No. I have yet to figure out what my purpose to be in this World is. But, I'm sure God has a plan.

I don't know either, and I am still searching. I know that we all have one, it's just finding out what it is and fulfilling it!

I know my purpose of life. It is finding the way of enlightenment. We all are here for a purpose. It is to learn the way of enlightenment where we will achieve and return back in the spiritual plane. It is through many trials in lives before one can truly understand the real meaning of life.

This task is almost impossible for many of us. But I sincerely believe that we will achieve it. Whether or not in this present life or the next, it will be reached if one persists in learning the true meaning of enlightenment.

I really don't know what my purpose in life is. I just try to live the day-to-day the best I can. I strive to be the best mother and wife I can be. To me, that's all really anyone can do. Just do your best throughout your life and maybe you'll find your purpose. smile

My purpose in life is to love and sacrifice my time and properties to the course of other people to benefit there in. After my NDE experience, I realised the true purpose of human life on this earth contrary to other people's belief system.

I know there is sure a purpose of my life here.
Those who wants to discover their purpose in life they sure can do it, at least i think so.
I am quite sure that all lives here has a very definite purpose no matter how small it is. But it matters whether the life concerned realize it or not. But the purpose will always be fulfilled as it is the supreme plan by HIM.
My purpose, well i feel many times when my heart is full of complete feeling of belonging and at that particular moment the very purpose of that specific moment is achieved. As i believe in living in moments, so the whole purpose is yet to be fulfilled as I am still living. Once the purpose of my life will be fulfilled then I don think that there will be life to live on anymore.
    Interesting question.
    Thanks and regards.

I have a grasp on what I want to do with myself, so yes I would say I do know what my purpose in life is.

I know exactly where I want to be but can't say for sure it's my purpose, but maybe striving to get there is.  I reckon it's all about the journey not the end result.  I try and live in the moment, when I remember.
I also acknowledge how lucky i am to be here, and to be surrounded by wonderful people.

To be honest I haven't a clue! I thought a few years ago that I did, but now, at 50 years of age, I'm just as confused as I was when I was dizzy, idiot of a teenager! Maybe that's life's lesson - we never really change all that much from the children and young people we were? More seriously though, I think life does have a plan for all of us but I'm blown if I know why the heck I'm here!!

I know my purpose in life and it is a joy to pursue it.  That said, sometimes it is a challenge to pursue your purpose in the midst of distractions.  You have to focus.

I think I do know what God wants us to accomplish here, on Earth. It is simply to become as much like Christ as we possibly can. Now I have no quantitative proof of this; however, everything points me in this direction (if you contemplate it deeply). Now please do not be offended if you are not Christian. I am not saying you have to necessarily be Christian; afterall wasn't Mahatma Ghandi perhaps the most Christ-like in the 20th Century? This is something for all to contemplate...

Yes. To take care of my family and be the best father to my kids. There is no better purpose for me. Great question.

There is no purpose of life. Life itself is a purpose.Life is so vast and grand that it cannot be limited by a purpose. See the whole existence around you, trees, stars, nature. Do you think they have any purpose. If you live your life in a manner that you dont leave any traces of past and dont look to the future and live just in the present moment then one day comes when you find just to be alive is so joyous. Then who cares for the purpose of life.
