Are We Living In The End Times?

Do you believe we are living in the end times? Based upon scripture or personal observations, what makes you think we are or are not living in the end times.

Yes, we are living in the end times.  I have read a lot of books, and it is clear that we are heading towards another major world war and another financial crisis for America.  I may write a hub on this if I get a chance.

Yes, it seems like we are living in the end times.  One of the many things is the geological issues we are seeing, like many more earthquakes, and devastating ones especially.  It seems like the birth pangs we read about in the bible.  It seems like the morals of humans is declining at a steady and alarming pace.  The bible speaks of a time when people call good evil, and evil good.  It sure seems to be heading in that direction.

As we grow older we have a tendency to cling more closely to the things of our youth. Back in my day, men were men, food tasted better, and children respected their elders, etc. This perception of a decline in society has led many generations to believe they are living in the 'end times'. Including some rather ambitious doomsday predictions. The one thing that all of those generations have in common is that they did not live through the end times. It stands to reason, based on the inaccurate predictions of the past, that we aren't living in any kind of end times either.

There is no doubt we are living in a time when we constantly hear of horrific events that would lead us to believe the end of time and the world is near.

However, I am a Christian of 45 years who no longer believes we are living in the 'end times' described in the Bible. I have written two Hubs explaining in detail the reasons for my view.

If I'm interpreting the parable of the fig tree (Mat. 24:32-34) correctly, the world [civilization] will end no later tun 2028.

During the week before Calvary Yoshua with his disciples observing, on their way into Jerusalem sought food from a fig tree -- between March and April a fig tree would not have fruit is what makes it the parable -- where there was none so he said may no man eat from it again and on their way out that evening it had withered and died.  On his way up Calvary's hill when Yoshua saw the weeping girls he said don't weep for him but for your children and their children. Then about 40 years later Jerusalem and the temple was destroyed.  The parable was the death of Jerusalem and the budding of the fig tree was when Israel became a corporate nation in May 1948 (Isaiah 11:9-12).

According to the parable, the generation at the budding of Israel as a nation would not pass before summer [world's destruction].  Psalm 90:10 give a maximum of 80 years as man's life expectancy and 80 added to 1948 equals 2028, is how I got my year.  However, You must notice I gave no day nor hour although that part of the prophecy is about the "son of man" suddenly appearing in his temple (Malachi 3:1).

Yes, we are. But they are also "Beginning Times," too.

The rebirth of Israel as a nation. There will continue to be trouble and suffering in the Middle East as long as Israel does not live up to its name -- Path to Love (God).

The trajectory of human society is rapidly approaching a point of critical mass -- polarization of groups against one another. This is a reinforcement of sin (ego) which is selfish separateness. The Beast (psychopathic elite) are using our egos against us. The once great United States is now a corrupt shell on the verge of collapse.

The passage in Revelations about the great star named "wormwood," occurred in 1986 -- when a nuclear reactor (which is what a star is) named wormwood (Chernobyl in Ukrainian), had a melt-down that poisoned 1/3 of the Old World.

I've always found Israel to mean "endurer" and was given to Jacob because he endured refusing to let the angel go until blessed, thus, the name Israel came into being, not "path to god."
