All the Prphets and Prophesies are listed on this site and there is lots of information about many such end time prophesies included the one by the Pope:

I dunno about you, but I'm pretty sure we know when the world ends...it's when that bright lightbulb in the sky goes *POOF!* ....just grab your suntan lotion on that day, for sure.

As far as that, then, when will Humanity end? I doubt ever, if you're good and get along. big_smile

Or some cosmic collision.  I think humanity would need an end because it doesn't seem like all will ever just get along.  Though we could totally go hard knox and throw down weapons and do it the old fashioned way, it could buy some time. big_smile

Welll.. I have been reading most of the posts on this topic in here and this being my first ever post in the HUB forum I will try make my own contribution here.....

The 2012 date and ending of the Mayan Calender could be taken symbolically. Most of the scriptures talk about the end of Ages which, to me and many others, has to do with astrology. Age of Piches has come to an end, age of Aquirias follows. Just watch the Zeitgeist movie and try to deal with facts instead of interpretations.

I respect anyone's believe whatever they believe in.. but do not try to convince me I am wrong or treat me different compared to how you treat a person who does follow the same religion ..

Most of the time people are in denial of their true self and as long as people around the world rather follow doctrines of religious, economic or politic systems which are all based on CONTROL instead of accepting the uniqueness of each individual, there will always be devision ...

why does someone has to Godfearing?  can anyone here explain this to me>? To me a God should be all LOVE unconditional love, and not feared.. heck most of the blood shed in this world throughout the centuries has come from christians, and this is still going on in Irag and Afghanistan today...

Well I did my saying... and asked a question... time to start JUDGING me ...hehe

.so In the NAME of god we persue those who are a threat to us and wage war (profit) on them.. so  ughhhh 2nd world war (funded by grandaddy bush) costs HOW many lives..and then Vietnam, korea, Iraq (at least 500.000 children died since the restrictions after the gulf war)...c'mon you are probably in denial... . whether it is done in the name of...the forces behind it the one's who fund the movements and the religions are no more christian, catholic or islamic then me..actually they are worshipping an Owl called Molog!! big_smilebig_smilebig_smilebig_smile

Here is some food for thought..

In American Fascists, Chris Hedges, veteran journalist and author of the National Book Award finalist War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning, challenges the Christian Right's religious legitimacy and argues that at its core it is a mass movement fueled by unbridled nationalism and a hatred for the open society.

Hedges, who grew up in rural parishes in upstate New York where his father was a Presbyterian pastor, attacks the movement as someone steeped in the Bible and Christian tradition. He points to the hundreds of senators and members of Congress who have earned between 80 and 100 percent approval ratings from the three most influential Christian Right advocacy groups as one of many signs that the movement is burrowing deep inside the American government to subvert it. The movement's call to dismantle the wall between church and state and the intolerance it preaches against all who do not conform to its warped vision of a Christian America are pumped into tens of millions of American homes through Christian television and radio stations, as well as reinforced through the curriculum in Christian schools. The movement's yearning for apocalyptic violence and its assault on dispassionate, intellectual inquiry are laying the foundation for a new, frightening America

These thirteen essays, organized under the headings of Christianity and War, The Evils of War, Specific Wars, and The U.S. Global Empire, have one underlying theme: opposition to the warfare state that robs us of our money, our liberty, and in some cases our life. Although many of these essays reference contemporary events, the principles discussed in all of them are timeless: war, militarism, empire, interventionism, the warfare state, and the Christian attitude toward these things. It is the author’s contention that Christian enthusiasm for the state, its wars, and its politicians is an affront to the Saviour, contrary to Scripture, and a demonstration of the profound ignorance many Christians have of history.

I think it is more then that..its too easy to think that that is it! To some degree it is and if you are familiar with researchers like David Icke it is more about the control!!
He was talking about microchipping people back in the 90's and they called him a nut... but so far almost all of his predictions have come true!  including ways to first scare people (losing track of your child) and then offer the solution by suggesting to implant a chip..so you always know where he or she is...anyway the EVIL forces just have everything backwards EVIL=LIVE..)

Wow...okay...for someone who is using history as an argument, you didn't go far enough.  In either direction.  I admit that Catholocism has made many many many bad and ultimately lethal decisions and the Crusades and Inquisition were among the bloodiest.  But Catholics did not "cause the bloodshed" any more than my generation "caused" global warming.  It happened before the Catholics and it continues after the Catholics lost control of the world religion.   Catholocism didn't become officially a religion for approximately 300 years after the resurrection of Christ--about the time of the cannonization of the bible, so most modern Christians follow a Catholic bible.  The Christians were all about "cleansing" long before the Catholics set up shop.  (And yes, I know one of the apostles was called the first Pope; the terminology was adopted by the Catholics, Christianity didn't begin with them).  The Protestants had a Bloody Stint during the Reign of Queen Elizabeth I, and the Puritans were responsible for the Salem witch trials, promotion of slavery, and persecution of the Native Americans.  And that's just talking about Christians.  It doesn't discuss Judaism or Islam, both of which believe in the same God as Christians, and therefore fight for the same God (Call him J'weh, Allah, what have you, they're based on the concept of genesis and the descendents of Abraham).  And it doesn't discuss non Judeo-Christian religions--although most of the modern religions are peaceful, and many of the ancient ones such as Budhism and Hinduism are peaceful as well.

I don't defend the atrocities of my religion, there is no excuse.  But do not lay on one groups shoulders the faults of an ENTIRE belief system!  And if you want to talk about useless blood shed, multitudes of hate crimes are committed by ALL Christians.  But sure, blame the pope.  After all, numerology says he must be the anti-christ.  What happened to tolerance and independent thinking, both of which were given to us by God.

The 2012 date comes from several origins.  The Mayan calendar runs out in 2012 and it is also related to some time markings in the pyrimands.  There is another reason for 2012 hype.  There is a moive called 2012 by Sony Pictures that will be out soon.  Do you think the movie studio may be cranking up the hype a bit?

I'm not sure if that was directed to me or not, but if it was, then no.  I don't believe in the Bible as an accurate history, I believe in science.  I don't follow an established religion except as ancestral obligation.  I don't hide behind anything except possibly sarcasm, which was what comment intended to impart.  The reason that I don't believe in religion is because it corrupts the concept of tolerance and independent thinking.  If the comment wasn't directed at me, then forgive my sensitivity.  I am loathe to be mistaken as a bible thumper.

I got some broccoli already and have it in bags frozen.  There are side shoots, but nothing really to eat.  It may go into the compost bin in a week or so if there isn't anything else to get off it.  The two cauliflowers.  I did get two heads, but they don't seem to want to put out anything else.  They were a trial thing this year and won't be brought into the garden next year.  The brussel sproats are forming new buds so it wil be a while before I get anything from them.  No use taking pictures of plants that look just about the same as they did three weeks ago.  I have some flowers on the tomatoes this year!  Whooo hooo!!  I have lots of herbs and I know that I will lose them come winter because I don't have an indoor space to keep them in until next year.  I need someone to tell me how to dry them and put them up or keep them growing until next spring.  I have a Stevia plant, but that doesn't seem like it is doing too well here.  The grass is doing real well though!  Each time it rains it looks like my husband never cuts the grass and it is a running joke between us! LOL  We planted Perennial (sp) Rye and it seems to like this poor soil and spotty shade.  It is so rial and error here with one season something loves it and the next it doesn't do well at all.
      Thanks for asking!

We know that feeling - it is a completely different climate here. You can start planting in January, but most of the plants 'hibernate' for the summer. We then have another growing season in the Fall, where we can usually get a second crop. Winter is for picking the olives! smile
