People who do observe unusual things are afraid to tell about them, especially in this day and age, when modern science has made medications that will cure those tendencies. Are we rectifying a mental health issue, or just dulling our senses? I think it's probably a little of both.
Random Ramblings. Please note that much of what I write is simply to provoke more thought on the topic -an attempt to portray other viewpoints. I try to see through other eyes besides my own.
My life has been unusual, regardless of my mentality, but it wasn't until recently that mental health was even taken seriously. All those years, when I was just a "weird kid" - what was I?
Are aliens abducting our cattle, cutting out parts with mysterious laser like, futuristic instrumentation? No, people; this is far more horrifying than that. We caused this ourselves.
If you find this article confusing, please read some of my others based on religion. They are based upon the concept that we have forgotten what it is we really are.
...but this article isn’t about the husbandry and care of a Pac-Man frog; it's more about her unwanted guests. Here are some trial and error ways I have used to deal with fruit flies in a terrarium.
Are Holidays really that important? Or do they just interfere with a busy schedule? Holidays ARE important. They are what life is really all about. It's the busy schedule that gets in the way.
This story took place when chicken fighting was legal. Most people don't seem to care. "It's just a chicken." I'm thankful we are finally starting to realize - animals deserve to live a happy life.
A lot of things just start out harmlessly, and seem like good fun. When does it cross the line into not being harmless anymore?
It's time to quit horsing around. We have had signs, we have had omens, and we have had factual scientific proof. It's time. It's time for ALL of us to get to work.
I want to help. I want to progress and make things better, for everyone. I want to be a good person. How can I do it, when my personality… when I don’t seem capable of dealing with other people?
Every family has it's share of ups and downs. Sometimes, though, things really do become irrevocable. Sometimes there is no longer any chance of reconciliation. How can you move forward then?
My sister passed away on December 29, 2013. For me, she had died long before that. These blogs deal with Mental Health and BiPolar Disorder, Substance Abuse, and dealing with living with yourself.
Life Decisions: You should never make them alone. I'm going to discuss my own life, the things I did and didn't do. I'm going to find out what I am. Feel free to ride along, if you like.
All people struggle with the darkness in themselves. Being aware of it is half the battle, but controlling it is the key. You must never believe that you will be okay now. Always stand guard.
Why do we always have to swing to extremes? Left or right, all or nothing? Look at our country today. Look at out Congress. Our Government doesn’t function because it’s not in service to the people. It’s all about ME. Meaning self importance.
What are we allowing ourselves to become? We are polite, we don't say what needs to be said. We are politically correct and don't address the issues that need to be addressed because we know these issues are our own faults. We created them, and so we try to handle them in pretty much the same way...
Steps must be taken to ensure your pets are healthy and well fed. This can't be done by looking at them from afar. Check the collar, squeeze the paws and belly, check the legs and fondle the ears.
Night Night! Don’t let the bedbugs bite! My mother used to say that to me when I was a kid, and her mother said it to her. She had never seen a real bed bug, and so I always thought bed bugs were like elves or the boogieman; they were a bedtime story, and didn’t really exist.
If energy is God, then it's time for the ultimate in paradigm shifts. Your dog, a spider, the grass - your steak and salad - these things are all alive. While they live, all these things carry God.
Does this make any sense at all? Because it’s a very important aspect of all my ramblings, the fact that we try to cover things over, brush them under the rug, and forget them.
But with the short span of time we exist in our bodies, 100 years seems to be forever for us, and we really can't conceive or understand the billions of years it has taken us to get to this point.
My main point of amazement has always been that I exist. Period. I'm amazed by how many people don’t ever think about this at all. Existing is just normal; after all, everyone does it.
It's almost like we WANT someone to tell us to stop. It’s almost like, by the actions we take, we are screaming for someone to notice us.
Why do some achieve so much fame, fortune and respect, while others who put in the same effort, or even double, triple the effort, are never recognized for their achievements?
The value of a person is measured not by their deeds, but by their net worth. We need to change that. WE need to change that, because obviously, our governments will not.
In the United States, the focus is on the election: Will it be Trump or Clinton? Big Corporations or Environment? Why is the focus always so extreme, set so far apart? The issues need to balance.
Comparing the functioning of our physical bodies to the functioning of the world we live in. If we compare human life to a body cell, which would we be? A cancer, or a stem cell?
If we are energy, then energy never dies; it changes. So, when we die, the energy we are leaves the body behind. Death is something we are horrified by, and we fight tooth and nail not to do it. Some would rather be sustained on life support rather than be allowed to be freed from a body that no...
Einstein was so right when he said, "Either you see the world as a complete miracle, or you take it all for granted." I see it as a complete miracle.
It's 2017, and the world is turning into… what? Look at it. It is filled with natural wonders and marvels of science. But are we happy? Is it? It's time to remember who and what we really are.
