Is it normal to dream of cats, even if they are not in your life?
One night about 6 months after losing my husband,I dreamed of him. That is normal,I know.
But I turned after he disappeared and a cat was standing on the bed looking in my eyes. He gently moved his paw toward my side of the bed then disappeared too.
I have not owned a cat for forty years and never think of cats. Weird!
In Bulgarian dream reading, a cat or dog means sickness, either for you or a relative.
It is of course - pseudo science.
And BTW: Having a cat, can bring some joy in your life. Especially if you are caring for the cat since his/hers birth.
I can't help but ask. Did you actually study Bulgarian dream reading? Where? Why? Where else could you use that knowledge other than Hubpages? I'm not making fun. Just some people's interests amaze me.
IDONO, I've read all books my grandparents had in the shelve. One of them was dream reading.
Some of the most peculiar dream is for fleece or louse - dreaming them means money
I hope so. I dream of beautiful women and tons of money all the time and believe me, neither are in my life. If so, I wouldn't be on Hubpages.
Be there cats in your life or not, a cat in a dream is not particularly strange. Your brain is a very complex thing. Your brain could have travelled from your husband, sparking a memory about a T.v> show that somehow triggered a cat.
If you are keen to, or willing, to accept a spiritual answer, The ancient Greek triple goddess Hecate is often symbolised by cats, and could be a sign that your husband is in fact watching over you in the spirit world. This is my favoured theory.
Also, a japanese luck spirit, Mineki Neko is a God of good luck and prosperity, possibly signifying that luck is coming into your life.
Hey! Way to with all the points!Or maybe it's just me.LOL
haha I like to study world religion I've actually adapted a very strange belief system because of it I don't know how it happened!
No one can answer that question until they come up with the definition of what constitute a normal dreams. Some of my dreams are precise replays of past events. Other dreams draw people from different periods of my life and some make absolutely no sense at all--which in the view of some might be a normal dream for me.
So dreaming about cats is as normal as dreaming about eagles. Dreaming about reality shows might cause me some concern.

Why would that be? Is anyone here good at dream interpretation? This has been going on for a couple of years. Some of the dreams are very vivid. The night before last I had one in which a female vampire had injected some kind of pure alcohol into her veins, then crashed through a big round stained...
