Yesterday one of my chickens produced four healthy chics - this morning I found a fifth chic dead and abandoned in the nest - I actually reported this on my thread Good Morning You Hublicious People - however - I placed the dead chic in a box and placed it in the oven hoping beyond hope I could resucitate it - this evening the chic is eating a little feed and I am drip feeding her/him some water - Its not over the worst yet - still work to do - the chic may not survive - but for me this is a good day
Here's something else you won't believe...an owl that transforms into two other versions of it's self for defense!
Ixxy - excellent - I have just up-loaded the pics of my Miricle Chic
that's really awesome! I hope the chick stays alive! That's a great story.
My mum did that with my gerbil that got cold in the shed, she put it in the warm tumble dryer which was switched off obviously..it live 9 years lol
Nice work! Saving the little fella is heart-warming. I hope she/he makes it.
Thanks for all your comments - chic is struggling this morning - un able to get up on his/her legs - I posted the pics on my hub do you like my pets as I dont know how to post pics on the forums....thanks....Irish
Thanks everyone - even Lean Man - I will take a pic now and post it - I have put him/her in with the family but it is touch and go at the moment
I have posted an up to date pic - one of the babies takes it easy getting a lift on her mother's back
I had experience this when one of our chickens lay eggs. We thought there are only four of them like yours theirishobserver, but when we saw at the nest, there is one that we thought was dead. But as I got him on my arms, he suddenly moved a little so I immediately gave him water and food and placed him on her mother so she can hide under her and be warmed. The chick lived and stayed healthy until now........
Kimberlyslyrics - well done with the pic - I have no idea how to get pic on here - I have just given him/her some more food and water - being abck in with the other chics seems to be helping but its survival of the fitess - so I am keeping a close eye on developements
..I saw your new pic..post more when you get the chance...as the little ones grow...you put a smile on my face seeing them. Thanks Irish!
Soewayouttahere - your welcome - just feed the sick one again - still touch and go as she/he is still not walking

I once heard a quote, which I really like."You can lead an atheist to the truth, but you can't make him/her believe".Christianity has always been a matter of the heart, and not the intellect, though, falsely ascribed, being devoid of it. To qualify that statement, one can have an...

Read from top to bottom, then bottom to top. I always believed God existed. I don't recall a time when I didn't believe that. I know growing up in a religious family motivated this. I remember many days lying on my back in our living room looking up at the cloth picture on...
