Needlework Kits Make Great Gifts

If you're at a loss for what to get that crafty person in your life, consider needlework kits. The variety of needlework kits is vast, ranging from sewing kits, counted cross stitch kits, needlepoint, embroidery, and more.

Needlework kits are great for all ages, too. The trick is to match up the right type of kit for the age and ability of the person you want to get a gift for.

The choices provided here offer something for every age and skill level. So, the next time you need a gift idea that offers all the craft supplies in one easy to buy package, refer to these choices.

Sewing Cards Lacing Cards

For Ages 3 to 6 (Depending on Each Child)

Each child is a little different so use your best judgment when selecting a set of lacing cards for a child. There is no actual needle involved--a shoelace type string or thread is used instead--so sewing cards are a great way to introduce sewing and needlework to young children.

Beginning Sewing Kits

Ages 7 to 12 (Consider the ability level of the child)

Sewing is a fun craft that requires a little more skill than cutting and pasting. When a child is ready to start sewing, a sewing kit is a great introduction to this craft.

You are so lucky to have a local needlework shop with such lvoely stock. Mine just has DMC floss, soft cotton and perle. I went to Hobbycraft (a really big craft store) yesterday, and they have the Anchor range, icluding tapestry wool. If I want crewel wool, or silk, the staff just cannot help me at all . I presume that there just not enough customers who want to buy the items that interest me. The only time I get to see things like this is if I can get to a show!I feel that I am letting local shops down when I buy on the internet, but often it is the only way to get what I want.

      L. Van PeltBrent, please contcat Tyler Junior College. They are giving ALL your money back for the education you didn't receive. Wow what a real wast of money. If its Russian don't they have the money to finish the dame thing? Try, Wow! What a real waste of money. If it's Russian, don't they have the money to finish the damn thing? Appalling spelling, not to mention the grammar is on par with that of a 3 year old. I have friends don't speak English, so they must use a translator to understand the text. When you use misspelled words, the translator gets the words wrong. Please slow down, consult a dictionary, and do better.Have a nice day.

I don't think I will buy one of the needlework kits any time soon but it sure is something that everyone should try at least once - to see if they like it. A nice reminder, brought up some memories for me, thank you!! :)

This is one of those things that I loved to do when I was younger that kids then erased from my memory! I'm finally at the point where I could rediscover through needlepoint kits - maybe something neat for the holidays. Very well done!
