An ice cold beer. I'll stop this tradition once Captain Morgan puts his leg down.

i spend an hour or so with my kids and then i usually go out to my garage, grab a cold beer from the fridge and smoke a "j".i only do this if it's been a really rough day but it works well for me so i'm content with it.

To de-stress every night after work I do the following:

    1) Chest openers--it is a yoga position whereby you place blocks or a bunch of pillows under your chest (about where the bra strap is for a woman) and let the head fall back as you lay on your back. Breathe deeply for 5 minutes.

    2) Legs up the wall--this is a super healthy and easy yoga position! Lay on the floor and with your legs up the wall and back on the floor (body is in the shape of an L) breath deeply for 5 minutes.

    3) I also meditate for anywhere for 10-20 minutes.

Then I have the energy and the focus to do anything!  Without this reset button I am tired and sometimes cranky.

The main things that I do in order to wind down after a difficult day include prayer, reading, interactive computer games (mainly on Facebook) and/or writing.

To wind down after a difficult day I go for a walk.  Later I play sports games on the Wii and then exercise while watching TV.  Exercise helps me relax.  I may also meditate or do relaxing exercises like yoga, tai chi or qigong.

      I think that would work.

Take a hot bath, a nice dinner, and laying in bed with hubby and dogs. I usually am drinking a glass of sweet tea too.

I clean the kitchen while my coffee pot cooks me a nice hot pot of coffee. Then I make my coffee just the way I like it (with some good white sugar and some whole milk). Finally, I put my feet up on the coffee table, think a while about life, and how glad I am to be alive and well and at home with my family, and I end up reading whatever is at hand (from a pile at my end of the couch). Peace...

I unplug the phone from the wall.  Even though I have an answering machine, on difficult days, I do not even want to hear the phone ring.  LOL.  smile

Watching a movie at home, reading, writing, listening to music, spending time with a friend, it all depends on the mood of the moment, and being bored is never part of the equation.
