What do you do when you have run out of a topic to write about, and still want to publish a hub
The best thing to do is do some research about anything that comes into your mind, or anything that generally interests you. Research is the best way to find inspiration.
When I don't have a topic, I look for topics. There are many different ways to find new topics - I have written a hub about it, as have others.
I brainstorm and mindmap with software I have. You'd be surprised how quickly you come up with ideas that way. Start off with a very broad, general theme - then ask questions you would want to know if you were looking for information about said topic. You can come up with dozens of ideas in a very short time. I use a piece of free software called "Freemind" for this activity. Others do this and put each question or idea on note cards and file them in a recipe box and then draw one whenever they need something to write about.
Another idea is writing prompts. I did a hub on these as well and there are prompts for both fiction and non-fiction
As the others have mentioned, there are many excellent hubs on how to overcome writer's block, and lots of times I'll get my creativity going again by reading those.
Another technique that works for me is to look at hubs I've already written and see if I've covered a topic completely or if I could write a related hub that adds value for the reader.
For instance, if I've profiled a dog breed, would a hub on grooming tips or training be appropriate and valuable? The key here is to make sure you are giving more value to the reader and not just rewriting a hub.
Take a break, do something that keeps my mind relaxed and observe, listen, or even sleep. Most of my inspiration comes to me then.
Reading hubs on the feed or on the hopper..has fired my imagination at times.. doing something creative often works for me....
I never force myself into writing as this is the worst thing to do when you have a block.
I write poetry and short stories on this account just for this purpose.
well when i run out of things to write about which is mostly all the time i go outside maybe to my back yard or to the park i empty my mind from things at that moment then i get creative and start writing something to make as an article
I tried brainstorming to get ideas. It did not work as well as I hoped but I came up with a few good ideas. I also looked around my house and at the files in my computer to see what I could write about. Another method is to increase your knowledge. Experience new things. It is hard to get new ideas if you keep doing the same things over and over again.

Hey everyone,This might seem like a silly question, the answer to which is probably glaringly obvious to my more experienced fellow hubbers, but I'm truly at a loss here. I'd like to know how you come up with original hubs to write after doing research on a proposed topic. Nearly every...
