I'm a newbie so I really want to see how my work is doing and if my improvements are attracting more traffic to my hubs, but the traffic hasn't been updated in over 16 hours. Is something wrong with the site?
There's clearly a glitch. It's frustrating but I'm sure they'll fix it soon. We might have to wait until after the weekend, however.
Have you connected your subdomain up to Google Analytics?
I'm sure there will be something in the learning Centre about how to do it, if you haven't already done so.
Google Analytics have something called 'real time stats' and you can actually watch your hubs getting hits as they happen.
I was going to mention that these long stats delays got me to go and start mucking around with analytics again. I'm going to go and check out that realtime thing right now. Thanks.
The sucker really works!!!
My poor computer will now have yet another always-on screen.
I'm going to have some serious fun with this...
Haha, join the club!
I got it open ALL the time - it's so much fun
It is totally addictive. Can't resist checking where people are reading my hubs. One minute Alaska next minute New Zealand. It truly is nuts and kind of awe inspiring.
After seeing my traffic not updated all day yesterday, I finally decided to get on here and make a post about it! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I realized it wasn't updated when a newly published hub received a lot of comments, but still shows 1 view. Unlikely.
I did the same as you. Just thought I'd check here to see what was afoot. My views have been dropping since I switched to the new profile. Don't know if it is related? My views are holding steady on Google analytics just not showing up here? Weird. I am sure they will sort it out shortly.
Don't worry..... it could be a number of things including:
the traffic control tower has been hit by lightening....
the great new ideas that drive traffic to the site have been found to be of no public interest...
the lanes on the Golden Gate Bridge are blocked and traffic is being diverted away from the site..
there just ain't no traffic of any consequence and as a result the hamster has died from boredom!
All that Paul said...
I reported this in an older thread, here: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/100714? … ost2178965 and Matthew Meyer says they are checking into it. I'm a stats addict too, so I'll be very happy when they get it sorted out.
I didn't know about that, I'll have to check it out, thanks for the help!
This reminds me of my day trader days last millennium. And this goes waaay beyond Level Two...
I was just coming to the forums to post this and I saw this thread.
I noticed that my stats have remained the same since yesterday. It is disconcerting to me because I always look forward to my weekend spikes and now nothing to boost my ego
I also have some hubs that are just starting to recover or take off and wanted to see what they are like on weekends.
Hi Cardisa - I just posted this to the other thread on the non-updated HP stats, but in case you don't see it - if your HP account is hooked up to Google Analytics you can get up-to-the-minute (well, upto about half an hour ago) by going to the 'standard reporting' tab, then click on the arrow next to the dates top right hand corner, then click on today's date (or yesterday and then today if you want the whole weekend) and then click the 'Apply' button just under the calendar, and it'll give you quite accurate stats up to about half an hour ago. It also has Real-Time stats if you click on the 'Home' tab (instead of the 'Standard Reporting' tab, at the top, and then click on 'Real Time' in the left-hand menu, and then click on 'Overview' in the list that opens up just under where it says 'Real Time'. Beware, though - if you haven't already seen Real-Time, it is *addictive*!
Mine just updated! It may have been from publishing a hub, but it changed from 777 (What it's been at for the last 20 hours) to 797
Mine started updating again last night and now it's stuck again. No update in the past 10 hours.
Same here...in fact mine says it's been 19 hours since an update. I really wish they could get this fixed!
This reminds me of the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Every time they start messing around with the updating and technology, this is what we get!
Traffic has not been updated, but hubscores have updated? I just noticed a 100 score on one of my hubs. Perhaps the system is not working correctly.

This drop in traffic seems to have affected the majority of us who transitioned here from Squidoo. After we updated our articles are traffic virtually stopped dead. The question is why? Was our redirect from Squidoo killed with the update? What the heck happened? Please try to figure out why the...

Has there been another update from Google? I ask since my views have been dropping rapidly every hour since the past 6 hours. Surprisingly the total views in the stats has remained stationary since the same time.Stats on analytics do not show any abnormal drop in visitors or views. Are other hubbers...

It happens every week and when we post it in the forums we get attitude from some staff members. Why does this keep happening? I really don't understand it. If the program which controls the stats is broken then get it fixed.

For the past two days, I've noticed that my hub score have deceased or increased, but the views have stayed the same as yesterday. Does anyone know what's going on with HP? Will they be updated or remain frozen? Even my new hubs have no views at all. :-(

This is a serious suggestion. The stats is a sore point for many hubbers. I say if HP can't fix it then remove it. No use having it if we can't get an update at least daily. The page views haven't moved for one week and in other forum it says that the issue has been resolved.Remove this or fix it so...

Ever since the switch to subdomains, I have seen specific subdomain names listed on the traffic stats for individual Hubs; and on the Traffic Sources Page, the numbers for HubPages have seemed to decline (understandably). Recently, I have seen higher numbers for HubPages.com, and I don't...
