      We did have some temporary issues this weekend, but have pretty much caught up.
      I just checked and the stats page is currently says "Last updated 2 hours ago".

         HP seem to use their own software to calculate views, so I doubt any maintenance going on within Google Analytics has anything to so with the lack of up to date figures on HP. In the past Google Analytics figures have been fine even when HP stats have remained frozen.

    When statistics freeze like this will all the views still be counted or have you noticed that during this kind of "black-outs" your statistics are significantly weaker? In other words, when it finally shows updated statistics will I be able to trust the numbers presented?

       When finally fully updated, they have always been in line with Adsense and Analytics numbers.  Not identical, of course - they never are - but in line.

    If people continue getting alarmed about the loss of real time data, I bet they will stop offering real times stats and just give us daily updates like other sites have.

       psycheskinner:  I don't think so.  The staff wants to know about technical issues and does a good job of fixing them.  They also understand that these numbers are important for writers, which is why they provide them.  In the end, the stats always get fixed and are accurate.  Right now I'm at 27 hours and counting!

       Actually, it appears the Hub Pages Ad Program earnings from yesterday have been updated, which reveals that it is based on data that is unrelated to our HubPages view tally (since that currently isn't working).  I would assume it comes from Google data since the Ad Program is probably some kind of repackaged Google ad program that Hub Pages contracts out.

                Ok. It's just odd... I had something like 6 comments (half from me half from another hubber) on a hub I wrote last night and he commented on specific things within the hub, so I know he opened it, but it said it had no views.

                I doubt this has anything to do with new Google AdSense change.  That seems to be just a Google design change to gain more ad clicks (at lower pay rates), not something that should affect the computation of views.  Also, this problem has occurred many times before the new Google AdSense change.  It just seems to be some faulty software that for whatever reason, HubPages doesn't want to update or fix.

       If you guys will check your earnings page you will see your impressions, cpms and payouts for the days when the stat pages have been stalled, so don't worry, it's there...they just have to fix a glitch.

          This is true, and is also interesting since it reveales the earnings are counted based on some other page view counter.  I have been trying out some different types of hubs to see if they are better at gaining organic Google traffic, so to be honest and not complain too much, having the HP page view stats would be helpful to me right now to see if my strategy is working.

    In my knowledge, programs failed for just a few seconds at anytime. In HP, their updater program may be delayed. For me, it is not a serious problem, the traffic may just be there and just the number don't change.

    It does seem that HP staff is working on it, since my Hub Profile now says last seen 21 hours ago and my stats say updated 119 minutes ago. However my two most recent hubs aren't showing up on my counter and none of my stats have changed from 2 days ago, so whatever bug caused the problem is still out there...

    It is highly disturbing. The stats shows that it was last updated some two hours ago but my traffic has increased only by 13 visits after two days. It takes away the interest of writing from an author. 13 visits after two days, isn't it shocking?
