The rise began a couple of months ago, and it's steadily going up. Amazon sales are picking up, too. I hope it lasts, but I'm not holding my breath!

I don't know if the rise is seasonal, or if it's because I'm applying what I've learned in the Appenticeship Program. I've also been tweaking old hubs and deleting a few. Maybe it's a combination of all these?

Congratulations Habee - I looked at two of your newer hubs, and they are long and full of detailed information. The photos you took have superb color. I hope at some time to take my own photos. Right now, I have taken some, but mostly use Morguefile.com. Maybe someday our traffic will return. So glad you're doing so well. Good luck.

    Hi Habee,

I'm sure it's a combination of the two. Do you find that 20% of your hubs make about 80% of your income?

Also, do you find that hubs on certain topics generate more traffic than others?

I've got lots of old hubs that don't pull anything and I should "tweak" or delete. My traffic's gone up, too, slightly. But I'm only getting active again this month after a break of inactivity since spring.

My traffic has been trending up for a week or two.  Not a tremendous bump, maybe 10-20% most days.  And I have been extremely inactive, especially since school started 4 weeks ago.  I basically sign in and check my stats, that’s about it.  Maybe a coincidence that it happened about the time of the new Hubpages “sleeper” system.  I had already unpublished a dozen or so low performers.  I have 4 more idled.  Maybe it’s just the time of year for traffic to climb?

Nice to hear the good news, Habee. Mine is up a little too. Not by leaps and bounds-just upwards as opposed to downwards. smile

Hey, habee, I've just heard that once you've graduated from the AP you have to share all your earnings with your fellow classmates! Forever.....
So I'm guessing that when you add my couple of hundred views a day to your views  then I'll be able to make that trip to Georgia I've always promised myself.
Seriously though, it's good to hear your news. Long may it continue.

Horatio, IF you ever do make it to GA, you'd better stop by for a visit!

My traffic goes up when I write a new hub.   It goes down on Saturdays and up on Sundays.

I'm sure it's a combination of all of the above, possibly seasonal being a big reason.
Plus you have a boatload of hubs!  Great to hear!
I've been watching my hubs since the new profile update and the traffic upswing after Labor Day.  I've also seen a rise in search traffic and noticed that about 20% of my hubs are bringing in the bulk of traffic. But I also noticed that some of my hubs that weren't receiving too much traffic started seeing more views (external) since the profile update.  I featured a few of them plus a couple that do well traffic wise in the carousel.  They saw more traffic in the last 30 days. (I'm not counting HP traffic which is not much, but some is coming from related hub pages. )

It will be interesting to see how the next few months perform.  Hope your increase continues!

My traffic on this account has never been higher.  I started a second account 2 years ago that was targeted to maximise traffic and at the time this soon outperformed by main account with only 30 hubs.

After Panda et al, however, the 2nd account's traffic tanked and now only gets 200-300 views a month.  Meanwhile my main account has rocketed.  I rarely write new hubs now but just maintain what I have.

I find things are much easier than in the Adsense days when we tried to target high value keywords.  With Hubads, if you write anything that gets traffic and holds the reader on the page/subdomain as long as possible, then you can make money.

Habee---please help us out.   Of the things you learned in the apprenticeship program, which do you think may be helping improve your traffic?

Honestly, I think writing longer hubs has been a big part of it, along with adding my own photos.

    That's great to hear!
Lately the same has been happening with me, but I'm thinking it's just seasonal.
I do miss the AP -- I had to drop out due to having a super full plate over here.
Hope all is well with it!
