I've been OK today, but last few days I've had problems.  Someone else posted about it too.

I had the same issue this morning.  Save work after any successful save...very important/  Check your pictures ...pics may already be available even if you though they may have not loaded...they might be thre anyway.  Check there before you try uploading again.

It looks like you have malware installed that is probably affecting Internet Explorer.  The malware is called "FUNWEBPRODUCTS"

I would suggest trying a different browser like Firefox or Chrome and removing the malware.

If those steps have no effect, please let us know so we can help you determine what might be going on.

Thanks for that! I took your advice and ran the malware detector. It found a few files and seems to be working. I appreciate that!

I reproduced the issue after testing multiple images and multiple browsers.

As some of you mentioned, it did  "take" my image after the 3rd attempt.

I have sent this to our engineering team to be addressed.
In the meantime, you might be able to bypass the issue using the non-Flash version of the uploader here:

Is anyone still experiencing this issue?
I just tested in Chrome and was able to upload images via a capsule and here: http://hubpages.com/my/photos/upload

I just did some further testing using Firefox 17.0.1 in Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8.  I was unable to reproduce the error.

Is anyone still having an issue uploading images?

I am also having problems with photos loading, both when I am viewing a hub and when I am inserting a photo capsule.

I've also had a few problems the last few days, but when I re do the loads they mostly work out OK.  I'm also noticing another issue today that is more serious...numbers suddenly look really, really bad and stats screen seems frozen. I think HP may be having some serious tech problems.  Anybody else seeing this?

Yes, my numbers are horrid today and stats frozen too.  I'm showing almost no hits by google.

Yes, I had problems yesterday afternoon as I was working on my latest hub. The pics would not load. I had to keep retrying several times. But it then starting working ok. It lasted some time. I havent reported to tech yet. Hope someone did by now.

I've had trouble loading photos for the last three days.  It takes 2-3 attempts.

I am having problems uploading photos too. I can select the file to upload but then it freezes and does not load.

We are aware of and working on the issue.
You may be able to bypass it in the meantime, by using the non-flash uploader.

Thanks that's what I'm doing and that is working out OK.

Had had the same problem since joining the site.  I can only upload one image at a time, very frustrating.
    Is this normal for hubpages?

@Sallybea This issue only recently cropped up.
Perhaps you are having an issue with Flash.
Do you know if Flash content is working on other sites?

      From the uploader page:
"Choose up to 20 photos from your computer that you would like to upload to your gallery…

To select more than one photo, hold down the Ctrl key (or the Apple key on a Mac) on your keyboard while clicking on the files with your mouse."

Do you select multiple files by using CTRL+click?

You might also want to clear your cache and upgrade Chrome as there is a minor revision in the stable channel, 23.0.1271.97 (you have 23.0.1271.95).

If these steps don't resolve the issue (after we have fixed this new issue) then please let us know.

Yes did all of the above but still had an issue with uploading and had to do the photos one at a time. The flash button would not automatically appear and only by pressing the upload button repeatedly (in frustration) when the flash program would appear but still impossible to upload more than one image.

      @sallybea

The main issue is still occurring.
I was suggesting things to try once we fix this issue as the problems you described sounded like it was not directly related to the current issue.
      Sorry if I misled you.

I will post here when we have the images issue fixed and then I would suggest trying those steps again if you still have problems.

Also, your browser is still showing as Chrome 23.0.1271.95

Flash working on other programs and I am aware of one of my followers who has the same issue.  It is currently only possible to load the images one at a time.

For what it's worth, I am still having the problem.  It takes 2-3 attempts to insert an image.  When I click on the image file, it processes the request but the red X appears in the upper left corner and no image displays.  I looked under my image tab today and have lots of duplicates where I tried to insert an image but it did not display in the capsule.

Hope this helps in solving the problem.  I am clueless but frustrated.  Firefox is my browser using Win XP as the OS.

As best I can tell this issue is still occurring intermittently.
I will post to this thread when we have more info.

        @lrc7815
In the meantime, the client info for your browser does not indicate that you have a new version of Firefox (looks like it might be Internet Explorer 8).

Can you verify what browser you are using?

I am going to try to test this issue in XP later, but I would advise upgrading to the latest stable version of Firefox 17.0.1.

In general clearing your cache is also a good troubleshooting step.

I am having the same problem across IE 9 and Mozilla, not sure if the HP system is having trouble reading the image due to overload on its systems ? May be a reboot of HP system helps smile

      Thanks for the report.

So are you seeing the issue in Internet Explorer 9 and Windows 7?
Is it related to specific images or all images?
I just tested again and was successful uploading several large JPEG files via the Flash photo uploader in a photo capsule.
I tested using Internet Explorer, Windows 7, and the latest version of Flash.

You might try seeing if you have the latest version of Adobe Flash as it is used for multiple file uploads.

In the meantime, you can use the non-Flash method to upload files one at a time.
