When you get spam from another HubPages user, you should report it to HubPages.

When you get spam from some random person, you should tighten up your email spam filters.

But in neither case does reposting it here serve any purpose.

I'm not trying to be a smart alec, Relache, but why do you say this post serves no purpose?  I think it does, more so than most of the posts.  I, for one, got this exact email and was interested to see that others had received the exact same thing.  I didn't respond, of course, but some people are new - not that weddingconsultant is new - and not as familiar with spam and the Internet as you.  "Hey, my 559 hubs now have 1000 views!" - Do these types of post serve a purpose?

Again, I'm not trying to be a jerk.  Just trying to wrap my head around what you said.

I agree with everything you said Christoph except for the,..."not trying to be a jerk." part...I am a jerk and what better way to be rude than to say this serves no purpose.  A legit question.

Lol @  "Hey, my 559 hubs now have 1000 views!"  Hit the nail on the head!  Great point!

I get them all the time. Just delete and alter the spam filter in your email. I have tons of emails with "i saw you on HP, can we be friends?"

Yeah I was just curious to see if the exact same email had been sent out in the past. I remember seeing that there were some spam emails going around recently but didn't know if it was this exact email or others.

Relache, I don't think there was any harm done in sharing it, especially since I was careful to delete emails and names. I don't want to spread the spam, but I am interested in seeing who else has received the email.

I got the same exact one.Now I know for sure it was spam, and I'm going to report the hubber. They signed up with a pic, no hubs and sent me exactly the same e-mail. Thanks for posting this.

Nothing wrong with discussing the type of emails we all get.  Actually I too was interested to hear that I was not the only one to receive that funny email.

I got this spam email, too!!!  I wondered about it.  I just deleted it.  I had no idea who the person was, and I wasn't really all that interesting in what they had to share with me, so I just deleted it.
