There are "hubbers" on HubPages who sign on but don't contribute in way of hubs. It seems that their main purpose is to troll contributing hubbers by commenting negatively on hubs they disagree with. Some of such "hubbers" are here for 2, even 4 years yet have NO hubs. Their main purpose is trolling contributing hubbers either by leaving negative comments or by instigating ferment in the forums. Do these people have inner problems or what other issues THEY have?
Some, perhaps most, have other accounts here with hubs in them. They just don't wish the two to merge.
Agreed. I have three accounts. This is my main account, and the one that's been here the longest. I may be splitting it up soon across multiple satellite accounts in order to better group my hubs by niche.
Of course, I also don't contribute much in the forums, answers, or comments, either, so I doubt I'd be considered a troll even if I didn't have nearly 100 hubs on this account.
They live under a bridge. Yep, they do have issues
I am sure there are a variety of reasons and motives, and I have no doubt some are here strictly to serve as sock puppets or to troll. But I've heard of a few members that decided they didn't like their original account names and so opened a new one. And considering how large HP's is, there is always the statistical likelihood that a few of these people simply died before they could contribute anything.
I thought you couldn't post in the forums unless you posted a hub?
Huh. Guess not, eh?
NOPE, there are hubbers who signed on YEARS ago yet have ZERO hubs yet THEY "participate" in the forums. Quite unusual, isn't it?
A hubber should have AT LEAST 50 featured hubs before participating in the forums.
Not that I like trolls in any way, shape, or form, but I have ONE hub! ONE! I had more, but I deleted them all. The one I left published has too much traffic to change the URL now. That certainly doesn't mean I have *less* to contribute! In fact, I would put my ONE hub up against 50 by some others!
I'm guessing politics is involved. Political parties seem to succeed in what they set out to do. Turn people into raving fanatics.
They just seem to TROLL around. They MULTIPLY..........beware, beware, beWARE!
Oh my GOD, They're HERE.
Dang, NOT HERE, man. Get that shooter, that'll teach THEM.
50 featured hubs before being allowed to participate in the forums? That's hubism!!!
Aw man... You know how long it will take me to have 50 featured hubs? I like participating in the forums. I like to think I have good things to add to conversations.
We have been through this before. Those with no hubs who hop around on forums intending to trap the unsuspecting and uninitiated with their sticky tongues are "Forum Frogs".
I only joined up to comment on an interesting Hub many months ago.Now I am looking into starting a thread, and off I go.

I was reading an interesting Forum thread when I noticed one contributor has been a member for 11 months, has written no hubs, but has contributed to discussion 383 times - and amassed 9 followers. Another has been a member 21 months, has written no hubs, has 294 posts and has a dozen followers.I...

PROBLEM: Whenever I write a hub on a controversial subject, a number of people create new, fake hub accounts solely for the purpose of posting negative comments and feedback on my hubs and/or threatening me anonymously. These new hubbers have 0 (zero) hubs and no other activity, and they are never...

I dont know whether i asked the right question or not, but i just wonder when we all do keyword research and want to get organic traffic because that is our key traffic source but then how does posting in forums, or just participating here or following other hubbers help us in getting more...

I still think comments should be comments, not discussions, that is the purpose of a forum. Maybe it would be a good idea that every author has a forum automatically made in a widget on there profile page and the topics are always the title of the Hub. That way you can discuss it and always edit...

There are some original hubbers/writers, who have made many comments/complaints that their revenue has dropped substantially compared to when they first started, alongside the fact that they are finding it harder to get their articles published on HB. It would be interesting to know if in fact,it is...

Please explain to me why some Hubbers have more than one account?
