I will say the three words are dedication, knowledge,  and a  plan.

    Preparedness Determination Opportunity

Success only happens when opportunity meets preparedness....no matter how many opportunities you're given, if you're not prepared for them, you will never be successful...

Joshua, totally agree.  So many people "want" success; however, they REFUSE to put in the time necessary for success.  Money, success, and career requires planning, strategizing, and sacrifice.  Many people don't want to do these things because such requires hard work.  The average person does not want such expenditure, they want everything easy and on a platter, well, life does not work that day.  However, these are the same people who look at highly successful people with envy, calling them greedy, materialistic, and other pejorative adjectives.   Joshua, you remind me of the author Larry Winget, he too is a very no-nonsense kind of man.  Mr. Winget succinctly stated that people are broke because they want to be and it is called work for a reason.

Successful people understand that without hard work you get nowhere in life. They know the basic science of life: your input will equal your output. They don’t depend on luck to get them anywhere, they depend on their skills and ambition to get them to where they want.

Some more words. just my 2 cents...

    Family. Future. Fun.

I went to work to support my family and ensure we'd have a bright future and be able to afford to have fun. Success just means more fun. lol.
