We all know how important encouragement is to new writers. Go find 3 Hubs that have zero comments and leave an encouraging note. All of your followers will see that you commented on their Hub and hopefully a few will leave a comment as well. Go find some new Hubbers and send them some love!
I seriously love meeting new Hubbers and am constantly looking for new writer friends. Everyday I come across a few I haven't met before and am astounded by the talent.
Are we allowed to post a a link to a Hubber's profile page here in the forums. It would be a great way of introducing new Hubbers to our community.
Hey that's a great idea. I have written 14 hubs so far and I am only 4 months old (off course on hubpages ) I would appreciate if you will also shower me with your love in the form of comments
@Availiasvision, I am Nancy Hardin, recently moved here from Squidoo. Thank you for such a good idea. I'm still working on getting my lenses turned into Hubs and I've made a lot of progress. I think your idea for commenting on new Hubbers work is a good one.
I love this!
Hi. I'm new here. 4 days old, 6 published hubs and ONE Editor's Choice hub! Yay!
I've heard about posting goals that you'd like to meet ...where do we do that at? I've got one I'm determined to accomplish!
I just found http://jackieb99.hubpages.com/. She is an Ex-Squid and has 125 Hubs, but only 5 followers. Let's send her some love!
It certainly think its a great idea. I remember when I first started how excited I was to see a comment on one of my new hubs. I'll be checking out the links you posted here.
@Mary, Yes, I remember being so ecstatic when one of my hubs was commented on. Millionairetips, Billybuc, bdegiulio, and Moviemaster, were all very welcoming to be.
It's so hard to be a young Hubber, trying desperately to get to the thousand view mark and celebrating the first penny earned. If we want HubPages to be a high quality and friendly site, it is solely in our hands. I am prepared to defend this site against spammers, spin articles, and stolen material. I just love writing here so much, that I hope it will be here for my whole writing career.
Who knows, some of the writers that we encourage may go on to write for Nat Geo, write a best seller, or an Academy Award winning screenplay. Right now they might be discouraged and want to give up, but we see their potential and fuel them on.
You've always been really encouraging in the comments. Keep it up!
Great idea and I've just sent Jackie a big welcome fan mail.
Ghaelach
Great job! I'm sure she appreciates it. She's a brilliant writer!
I found a Hubber with tons of great topics. He's new and only has 4 followers, maybe someone can go send him some love. http://pianotek.hubpages.com/
I am game. I also get new writers who follow me so I go and read a Hub they have written and compliment their writing!
Hi everyone. May I introduce http://bakerosity.hubpages.com/ is the group. Bakerosity is fairly new, has tons of un-commented hubs, and is a fantastic fiction, poetry, and cuisine writer. Go say hello!
Very nice initiative, Jennifer. I promise to make it a habit to comment on an uncommented Hub every day!
I feel that you have come up with a great idea! Recently I have done that. Keep in mind "Little Acts Of Kindness" spread "Good Karma".
this is a great idea for motivation. I take Hubbers as my families too so I'll do anything to motivate anyone
Thanks for joining in. There are plenty of new Hubbers who need some love.
Thanks for joining. Our army of encouragers is growing--which is--encouraging! When you find newer Hubbers, link their profile into the forum so that we can all meet them. I've seen it already do a lot of good.
Welcome! Let the encouraging begin! The classic version of the Hub Hopper, just click on the HH, then click the "classic" button, allows you to leave comments on the Hubs. The new version does not. It's a great way to meet new Hubbers because most of the Hubs are ones that HubPages wants the community to approve of or not. It's part of the Hub evaluation for being featured. Most of the ones I come across are either new hubbers, Hubs on the verge of not being features, or ones with little or no interaction.
Have fun and feel free to share with us any Hubbers who could use a few kind words.
If you like Hubs about tips for parenting or children's topics, go stay a warm greeting to this Hubber. A new Squid implant.

Hey thanks for showering your love in the form of fan mail
That's a great game to play. Availiasvision. here's another fairly new hubber http://violetjeanfrost.hubpages.com/ to follow..Cheers
Ps violetjean is a great fiction writer..
Tom writes about travel and tons of great topics. http://tomthetraveler.hubpages.com/ I'm thinking he's a keeper.
Welcome Ashley! That's awesome that you have already been chosen for an Editor's Choice. Those are very rare and are such an honor. Wow, 6 hubs in 4 days----you should have no problem meeting any goals you set. I'm not sure which forum is for goal setting. There are Hub challenges, where you try and do 30 hubs in 30 days and share with each other the results. I know a lot of people who have jump started their career here by doing that.
What a great idea. I know how difficult it can be when you're new and unsure - like me!LOL!- I shall go scouting straight away!
Availiasvison: I'm just new here and I find your warm suggestion to your co-experts as the greatest motivation for newbies like me. I'm looking forward to meet good writers with good heart like you here in HP community. Thanks for this brilliant idea.
I love this idea! I'm going to follow your advice and try to comment on at least one hub a day. Knowing you have a reader who appreciates your work is a great way to encourage creativity in any writer. Thank you!
I can assure you that it is a worthwhile step. I wrote on 3 hubs and I was glad I made a move to encourage others who seemed to be newer than me.
I also received a lovely warm fan mail from TheHoleStory that did wonders for my morale!!
I intend to do more to do the same for others.
Marie, Don't you feel that you get back more than you give when you reach out to others? Great job!
You bet #Availiasvision. You are so right. It is a super idea, for anyone concerned. The newbies like me get a lift.
The old hands get to see how many out there are still trying to get the first 'badge', the first Featured Hub, the first rung of any ladder within Hubpages. That could easily give the experienced hands something to be pleased about, to remember of their first days and how far they have come since then.
This is a win-win game. Who can ask for more!
I think this is a wonderful idea! And it's a great way to make some new connections along with getting some feed back.
MarieLB, exactly! Maybe we can get some followers too!
I love my yellow stickies on the desktop. it is the only way I know best, to have lists and to cross them off as I go. Invariably I do more than when I keep the lists in my head.
Now if we each write down ONE hub a Day with no comments, or no followers, etc. . . on that daily list, it should be so painless. Just one hub, cannot take that much time, and then who knows, maybe we would get so much enjoyment from it, that we would want to double it again and again!!
Have fun with it.

We need a better way to classify and group our followers and the people we are following, here is my suggestion at the very least. For Followers.A way to determine follower loyalty levels, perhaps a simple scoring system only to be seen by you that will tell you how many times a follower has commented...

I am still new to Hubpages and have been enjoying a rather successful start. Thank you to those who have voted my articles up and those few of you who have begun to follow me. But I have noticed one thing of late and maybe it is the way it goes but I think it is disrespectful. I have commented on a...

I find that it is so easy to get wrapped up in the little things and get down by them. There are a few of us in my work situation and in my personal relationships that practice the "I Like" game. When we get flustered, we list 3-5 things we like, or are happy about or that is going good...

Let's share some two or four line poetry here or just write something poetic. Let's have some fun. Cheer up everyone.

I have been thinking about how I can give some of my hubs that receive less traffic more light. On our profiles, we can pick a bunch of hubs that feature in a "gallery" that fades in and out, right under our bios and above the published hubs listed in the bottom section. This year, my...
