Correct. And TRAFFIC from yahoo has decreased. Yahoo News Capsule has direct relationship with traffic from Yahoo here at Hubpages.
It's probably something to do with the ongoing PING problem!
I have noticed the same thing at times. For me it is usually when my bandwidth is low.
News capsule uses title of hub by default as a phrase to search news items related to your hub. Try to use key word. If problem persists, try to use related (other) key words.
Still not working here since yesterday, regardless of words used.
Did we ever hear from management what the problem was that all of us were grappling with yesterday on Hubtivity?
I haven't heard anything and was wondering if it's because it's the weekend and we will get an answer tomorrow! I hope this doesn't go PING! lol
I've been having issues with this on most of my new hubs today. Sometimes the news links show up, most of the time they don't.
We're been working on the issue. The problem is that yahoo has is intermittently blocking us from fetching their news rss feeds. Since we link to yahoo in every news capsules and provide them with traffic, I can't really fathom why they'd do this. Anyway, we should have a fix pretty soon.
I haven't researched it specifically, but I'm skeptical that there is a significant correlation between having a yahoo news feed and getting yahoo search traffic.
I don't know about scientific, but I keep an excel spreadsheet on my hubs and there is a difference in traffic between ones with news capsules and ones without, not a lot, but enough to notice.
Can anyone give us news about the news capsules not working and when they will? Thanks!!! Marisue

I have been cropping my photos before I upload them and some of them upload easily. However, some of them spin and spin and spin and spin ad nauseam.
