This is now day 5 and no earning figures have been updated. I know you're busy, but 5 days is too long to go without knowing our figures.  How about it?

We cannot update earnings until we have all of the data from our ad partners. There is typically a delay after the weekend. Thank you for your patience.

Watcha got there, paradigmsearch? Looks like some sort of dinnerware flying/hovering apparatus with a copper pipe attached to it? Is that its brain or command station of sorts?

Yes, but there were no reports prior to the weekend.  I'm sure we all realize that your attention is now on creating the new sites, and I do realize that sometimes ad partner are slow in reporting, but it would be nice if you folks would at least put some kind of notation to this effect on the stats page so we would know what is going on.

Ot's already mid-day Thursday and last update for me was the previous,y Friday. A delay after the weekend explains why there is no update on Monday. What explains Tues, Wed, and Thurs.?

Oh good, it's not just me!  This is my first month having been accepted to AdSense.  I was convinced that I had already gotten kicked out after five days of pending.

Yeah, they need to understand that whatever you set up as a standard, then by default it becomes an expectation by people. And, we do expect to see our earnings.
I need toe scant information I get updated to attempt to figure out how I am standing. Luckily for me. my two main blogs are a mess and I am spending a lot of time getting them more streamlined and informative before I attempt to make them commercial.
    Keep on watching.

Yes, they are pending since 4 days and the 5th day is also coming to close.
But, I understand their limitations and can't accuse them. We should be more patient.

  7. makingamark profile image70
    makingamarkposted 9 years ago

I don't actually understand the explanation.

How can "a delay after a weekend"  impact on stats which are normally provided on a day by day basis - week in and week out (all of which have a weekend)

There again I'm only an ex-accountant......

    1. Jesse Drzal profile image84
Jesse Drzalposted 9 years agoin reply to this

I have been earning only a month or so, but I have always noticed a delay after weekends on my account. Which is fine.

Normally they are used to lag behind 2 days only. But, sometimes it takes much time in updating. They are also helpless, I think.

They stated also it is out of their hands so I doubt any more information will be provided.

...and the latest is (as per the new note on my earnings page)

"Due to technical issues with an ad network partner, Ad Program earnings since February 6, 2016 are pending. We will update the earnings reports as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!"

    1. Venkatachari M profile image91
Venkatachari Mposted 9 years agoin reply to this

      Yes, the note is there.
But they are showing the earned figures also for the period 6 to 11with an asterisk.

      1. makingamark profile image70
makingamarkposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Yes - after I posted! There were 36 hours between your post and my post

Plus the asterisk indicates "* incomplete or unaudited earnings, value may change."

It is a risk you take when you post about the ephemeral.  When HP removes the asterisks, someone will reply saying there are no asterisks and what the heck are you talking about. lol

Not at all. You are always welcome to post your problems and feelings. I never intend to embarrass or belittle anybody. I simply try to update the latest position. So, please don't be offended ever.

Maybe better to just preface a comment with "latest update" - and a date? Plus precisely what the change is.

The important aspect of the update you mentioned was that the earnings now listed were by no means certain. The point being that confusion about earnings continues.

As of today's date "* incomplete or unaudited earnings, value may change" date back to 6th February

  11. Jodah profile image84

Well the earnings have been posted at last but that is very disappointing to say the least. After such a wait mine are down to less than half my normal earnings for this time of the month. Hub views have been positive so what gives?

    1. Kylyssa profile image97
Kylyssaposted 9 years agoin reply to this

The CPM has dropped is what gives. The January-February retail slump likely causes businesses to spend less on advertisements during those months when they think ads will do the least good.

    2. makingamark profile image70
makingamarkposted 9 years agoin reply to this

People used to say that the reason for staying on HubPages was because the earnings were so much better here.

Emphasis on the "used to say"

I don't think it's a retail slump - I think there's a major shakedown going on re advertising generally given the impact of ad blockers and the surge on a few social sites. It's even killing newspapers!

Given the unbelievable low CPM rate, HP might rethink their Amazon and eBay politics?
