I understand where your coming from! I was adopted from India. I have thick frisse hair and when I was younger I always felt that was the Ulgy duckling since I had thick messy hair and my eyebrows were funny. Well since purberty hit me I look totally different and people would be surprised that I am the girl in the photo. But I also kept telling myself I looked okay and my relatives told me that I was beautiful everytime they saw me! Sometime I will have to put a realy picture of myself as my profile!
Thanks heaps for the praise,I am open to receive more from anyone, let it roll. I need it after what Eric G did to me,ooooooooooo, I had a dream about him last night by the way
I don't have any qualms with my appearance and am not afraid of what people will think. I like using a generic cartoon that portrays my writing niche. Personally, I like remaining (visually) anonymous and even a little... mysterious.
Here's me awhile back, since it's already about...
(EDIT)
P.S. I don't look so good in this because I had walked home that night from work. Which really wasn't a big deal, 'cause I had like an hour and a half to listen to music and I lost some weight I hope..but I was tired.
Farewell HubPages. I'm leaving for South Africa tonight to be with my true love, Sixtyorso. I'll wade through swamps, fight alligators, strangle pythons with him. I was having such fun here too - but a girl has to follow her heart.
Deb I just noticed on hubtivity that blondepoet just became a fan of blondepoet. ROFLMAO how did you do that? hehe I never knew that I could fan myself. haha that's outrageous
Ops, went back and checked. It is blondpoet as new one hey? sorry
Loool C.C yes the other Blondpoet is not me. I won't mention any names who it is, but let us say Eric G nows a lot about the matter LMAO. She is drop dead gorgeous isn't she ?
I've been using real pictures of me as my avatar since I joined Hubpages. I even used my real name when I signed up. Haha! I guess that makes me really naive, huh?
I just realized! I do have a pic of me in a hub HERE. You may need to click on images for a clearer view! but only if you really want to!! and its good to see everyone here!
I am one of the two in the my profile picture.. I think I am the big one with the hat on, but to be honest I wish I was that little bronze smallie I am holding up so proudly.. He was a HOSS!
The picture I was using on Hub Pages was taken about six or seven years ago. You have inspired me, Blondepoet, to update it. This picture was taken in the Autumn (Fall) of 2008 and is to the best of my knowledge the most recent picture taken of me.
Why do some hubbers not have their real picture on their profile?I've seen at least a couple of hubbers who have photos of actors or actresses as their profile image. Whom are they trying to fool and why?
How important is it to have a comment section on your hubs, or How important is it to respond?I was going through some of the hubs that belong to some of the top paid hubbers ( info found on the success story page) and a lot of those people do not respond to comments. In fact, many of their...
Why Do Some Hubbers Use Aliases? Not trying to be rude or anything, just wondering. When I joined, I just used my name. So I was wondering for what reasons people chose to use aliases. Marketing? Shyness? Wanted by a foreign government for secret agent work?
Do you feel that people should respond to comments that are left for them on their hubs?i personally enjoy the feedbak left to me, as well as the opportunity to get to know my fellow "Hubbers" but I have noticed that there are many hub authors who do not respond at all or only selectively.
It didn't even occur to me to use a different name when signing up with HubPages. But once I was in and looked around, I realized that that was the norm. I'm just wondering why that is...
