I love going to see something good at the cinema but this week I fancy going for an early morning Sunday swim at the local swimming pool. I will be going to a Memorial Day parade, and remembering all those who didn't come home from so many wars. And then I'll spend some quiet time with friends and family.

To Donna C. Smith - the bluegrass festival sounds so wonderful! Take some pictures, maybe write a hub? So I can live vicariously.

To Dame Scribe - that sounds wonderful too. Maybe some pictures and a hub too? Watch out for those wolves.

To Zeta - Hunting for a new flower species and starring at the stars sounds so exotic. Hub as well

You all are quite cool people with intersting lives.

My apartment building is having a lawn sale, I am going to try and get rid of some junk and earn some money smile

I had a yard sale, I hope you did better than me, I ended up keeping all the crap, as I went through it time and time again, I decided I might need it. Yardsales here don't make much.

Just wondering what the temperature is there.  You probably wouldn't envy us, here.  We've been dealing with a couple of days in the 90's (which, for most people, is a bit much).

My brother will be having a birthday, and my sister will be having her wedding anniversary; but the most "exciting" thing will be living in a house that shakes and has no water - without notice - because the town is installing a spiffy new municipal sewer system (which, to those of us who have been hearing that "sewers are coming soon" for years now, is actually very exciting, at least sort of.)  There may be nothing quite as much "fun" as having blasting going on in residential neighborhood.

Isaac and I are in the middle of nowhere in rural Kent for the weekend, at my parents' house. It's a bank holiday weekend (Whitsun bank holiday).

The weather's gorgeous, very sunny, blue skies, birds singing, spring flowers doing their stuff, and a foal born at 5am!

Well there are massive thunderstorms here and it should be that way all weekend. I was supposed to go to the Jamaica vs. Haiti soccer game tonight, but that won't be happening.

I'm now looking forward to laying in bed with my boyfriend listening to the rain all weekend. And getting some homework/things around the apartment done.

I went to see my son's band Relayer play a gig in Springfield, VA.  If you're in the area check out their web site; it is good classic rock.
