I dont go by looks and from yer pic you look pretty. I once had 2 girlfriends, one a stunner that was a boring git, another ok but great fun, do I need to draw you a map as to which I picked ?
Ha you letting yer mask slip Mango, thing is yer fakeness is so easy to spot I cant believe 2 tossers added you as a fan unless they actually just add anyone. You do interest me as to why you are a fake because you are also the suicide person as well.
You're eyes are telling me you are thinking, captain. I'm terribly sorry if i made you feel that i was fake. I shouldn't have started this thread cause it led nowhere but to conspiracy theories. If i'm insecure, then please forgive me. if i don't sound genuine please forgive it. i see people here are a bit... no its not your fault.
I'll be honest in a round about way. I'm not going to say you are pretty because I fear this is a compliment grabbing scheme but I'm not going to say you are ugly either because why should I be an a@%hole about it. So, for the sake of argument let's say you are ugly. The honest answer is yes. This is an ugly truth most of us don't want to acknowledge that pretty women get more attention from those who are attracted to women. IF I see a writer and she is a good writer, a 7 on a scale of 1-10 if she is attractive my perception of her jumps to her being a 9 writer. My interest level jumps drastically. People want to interact with pretty people, they want to read what they have to say, they want to make friends with them and want to gossip about them. THey just attract a lot more attention. If I see a picture of an attractive hubber I am definitely more likley to read one of her blogs. Some women will lash out at me for this but it's a truth that they know and capitalize on themselves anyway.
not every woman capitalizes on their looks. We know what you say is true for most, we're women...we know everything. Thing is, some of us actually don't want guys like you judging looks or beauty before actual talent so we use avatars.
Thanks for the response. I'm a sucker for advertising. When Wendy's put out the commercial for their new fish fillet I had to go try it because the commercial with the whole lake and the snowy mountains made it look so fresh and appealing. I tried it and it sucked, but they got me in the door, even an appealing avatar might "get me in the door" it's a great way to get me to read somebody.SO it's not totally about whether the woman themselves is appealing, it's about whether that little picture next to your name or if your name itself is appealing.
Hi MangoGirl,I think its a symbolic question. This question can be asked by a bad looking girl or even by a man. Looks has a strong relationship with love because beauty is universal, recognized and easily accepted by all that why everyone loves cute girl. But you tell me in times if we find that the cute girl has some really really bad habits or nature then what is the use of being so cute and who gonna love that girl, no matter how much cute she is.Thank you.
Thing is mango you and the suicide guy both joined within 15 mins of each other and what a coincidence yer very 1st post was to his post in the forum. It took me days to even find the forum so I deff brand you as a fake person now piss off and dont insult my intelligence !
you keep saying i'm a fake because that woman told you interested in why i have two fans? one because of my personality the other because someone fanned my hopin i'd do the same for her
Thing is my friend I have hubpages checking yer ip against yer suicide friend, I just have a feeling come tomorrow you wont be here, what a shame just as I was getting to like you
do hubpages delete accounts with duplicate IPs? I would like to change my username and as there is no option to do this I would like to open a new account and copy my hubs across then close my current hubpages account.
Deceptively means what? Refering yourself as a new writer using your own url tracker so that you can get 10% + 60% impressions whilst hubpages get 30% of the impressions?
I'm guessing that the perpetrator is a female. If you back up a bit to my first post in this thread you may notice how I've quoted the conversation
And the 3 profile photos that were used, cropped head shots, most likely lifted from a porn set of pics.
I'll also take a stab and say the suicide thread by 'jayykingg' was another alt (fake nick).
Some people are so predictable.
Hopefully threads like this (and the ramifications) will serve as a warning to others who get bored and want to try and stir strife or make a mockery of a good online community.
So, marc, if my name were Bubba or something and I had a pic of an ugly woman, you wouldn't check out my hubs?? Assuming the name I have now and the pic *are* appealing to you.
I have always thought that people start out with the standard response toward each other which is mainly superficial. After getting to know someone they can begin to look better or worse to you based on how you react to their personality.
Clearly your avatar is chosen to challenge people. Maybe you want to make a point or maybe you don't I don't know.
I agree whole-heartedly. When you like someone, the person is beautiful no matter what. Of course there is a deeper meaning to this. Some people like to play with deeper meaning and some just don't.
I think that this is Mango girl (Avator) she is great, I like her sharp repartee and her "Get stuffed if you don't like me attitude". Cossack to the Core.
Not mentioniong anyone by name (although it rhymes with "Fango Dirl"), but if someone is bored enough, crazy enough, sleazy enough, or pea-brained enough to be bothered posting phony stuff you have to pity them just a little bit (and be really glad you aren't them). Certainly not all of it, but some of the "drama" has been kind of funny.
Yeah, Lisa- Until they cross the line... Email hacked into, using other people's photographs, submitting curses as fan mail, etc. Funny is one thing--I'm good with it. And let there be freedom of expression. This, however, was malicious behavior...
Oops - I didn't know all that other stuff went on. (I do know a lot of crossing-the-line went on and wasn't particularly referring to that part when I mentioned "a little funny"). Well then, I take back the remark about "funny". Aside from the suicide thing, all I saw was a bunch of schizophrenic-looking posts.
produces: anxiety!C'mon, Hubpages! I've been a good boy. I've improved my hubs. I've been "awarded" a Level 2 Commentator (oh joy.) My personal story of near death and survival is consistently coming up TWICE (original hub and five year follow up) in Google search on page one out of over...
Which is better - or worse - to fake liking someone, to be clear about it or to avoid the person? There are various ways to deal with that which are more civilized, or humorous, or just plain mean. Is there a better way?
Hi everyone, I joined HubPages 2 weeks back and I have been trying to write at least 2 hubs per week (even with my job at hand)....I feel that the HubPages members are very helpful and are more than eager to help out new hubbers...please do read some of my hubs and leave a few...
Now I know I have been on here a while, but bare with me, sometimes I have a blond moment, even though I am not actually dumb, but sometimes my brain decides to go on vacation, and yep at this minute it is sailing around the Caribbean having a great time! the question is this:you know on your hub...
