Happy New Years Denise. I am soooo busy it is unbelievable:( Linda called me Saturday on my way home from work and said she and my son were driving and his car caught fire and the called 911 By the time I got there there were fire trucks cops and them 2 standing on the side of the road. Joe got the fire out before Fire Comp came. That was the start of our New years and hope that is it

0Mark, I'm sorry to hear about the car but I'm happy they made it out alive.
I had a rocky 2012 start as well with my dog having to be rushed to emergency, a good friend hospitalized and my niece having a miscaariage at 6 months pregnant. It was a tough week but things are starting to look better now. I believe the year will become a bit more tamed as it gets to know all of us. Yep Marky is laying the law down and I really feel bad about it but it has to be done. He doesn't make enough money to support is Apartment and utilities so guess who has to help $$ wise. I thought moving here was going to be easier on my pocket, but when you have to pay for other things I am back in the same position I was in with over $2,300 a month mortgage, so steps must be taken.
we will get together when you are off so call when you have time KThat sound like a plan Denise.I have done all my homework on living life simple and get all debt paid in full so that I can get that little part time job and enjoy the rest of my life while still healthy. so when things like I spoke of pop up, it kind of throws a monkey wrench in things, but he is my son and I will do everything in my power to help, but like I said it has to stop some time and now is the time.
Lets keep our chins up and everything will work out as we planned, I just know it!!!!

Mark -- glad Linda and your son came out of the car fire okay. Tough love -- it's the best thing for them! Better to learn when they're young than when they are too old!
Denise -- safe driving!! Take care, and it looks like I'm out of the health care business. -.- cuts backs have hit me, and hit me hard. I'm out of work as of last Thursday. Not sure what I will do with all the Christmas bills and little ones. I'm not sure if I can get another position in healthcare -- all the hospitals are cutting back. On top of it all, my city has seen an increase of 1% in unemployment for the month of December!! NOt too rosy of a picture.
I'm starting to think I've joined the ranks of the "bad beginnings for 2012" club....
Klara -- how's your little furry buddy? I think you're right -- 2012 will get to know us and will bring good things to us.
Cara -- you too?!? well, glad that you're flat was close to home. Hope this week goes well for you.

Yesterday was challenging. Trying to compile my portfolio so I can take it along on some (hopefully) interviews. Cutbacks at the hospital and restructuring has left me without a job. But, I'm trying to stay chipper and look forward to something better. Honestly, the stress and hours were too much to begin with. I left my other job to take this one because it was suppose to offer me more time to spend with my kids (ha! I was fooled!!) So, off I go on the padded road of job hunting....

Driving that distance each day is not only expensive, but it is a hazard to your very well being. You and Lin made the right decision to keep work close to home. I think that you should get your realtors license. My friend's husband has a similar background that you do (construction, renos, etc.) and went back to school and earned his license last fall. He's doing extremely well -- and they live in a tiny town!!! You would do very well along the coast. Plus, you live there -- you can vouch for the lifestyle!
I'm trying to keep things together. I don't have much time to find another job before my package expires. On that note, off I go!

Things are doing better. My dog is finally stable, although she didn't eat much today and that, of course, makes me worry.

There was a full-moon drumming circle on the beach last night. I could hear the drums from my balcony but it was almost 11pm when I found out and I was already wearing PJ's. I'll have to catch them next month for sure.

Mark, it's 75 degrees right now. We had about two days of cold weather but I'm glad it went away. I just came back from walking my dog on the beach. It was beautiful there!
Cara, yes... Gainesville is a long way from here. It takes us 12 hours to drive out of Florida from Miami. I visited Gainesville once and it seemed like a whole new world... so different from South Florida! Enjoy your trip!

I just came back from the beach also about 1 hour ago. Man it smelled so nice and to hear the waves crashing on the surf is so relaxing to hear. It rained all day and very damp. I have never seen so ,many stars in the sky tonight. It was beautiful Klara. Lin and I just stood on the beach and looked at the sky and thanked God that we are so blessed to be here at the shore. The beach is 7 minutes from my house. So much better than 52 miles when I lived at my other house.
BTW how is your dog Klara? I hope she is feeling much better:) i almost called you on my way home. The pines are so dark and a boring ride but I must keep a look out for the deer. maybe on night I will give you a buzz. There was so much fog in the pines it was really hard to see and when I got home the sky was crystal clear Call me too if you get bored (609)220-7011

The vet repeated the LPS test to see if she still had pancreatitis, but THANK GOD the number went from 3676 to 90. So it's not cancer and she will just have to be spoiled some more. Now she wants rice and chicken only, but I still manage to add some can food in there!

I just laid out a grave for a funeral for tomorrow and the wind is unbelievable and cold. It was about 10 degrees warmer where I live. I rode through a snow storm in the pines and say this is not for me. I must visit Klara in Florida. Linda says no 6 month at the shore and 6 months in Florida Maybe I have to go alone

What a touching day for me. Very Happy BUT sad in another way. My baby girl all grown up and getting Married 
Thank you sooo much Klara. What a wonderful day we had. I couldn't happier Klara. Stefani has everything under control. Taste test for the food was this morning for her and booked that. DJ done. Venue done, Photographer Done, She is getting it all done so smoothly. I am so proud of her and Linda of course is so so proud and happy. Linda picked out her gown at the Bridal place too today. Now Mark must head on over to Mens warehouse to get the Tux in order. She is getting married in the same church as my Mom and Dad did. I think that's pretty awesome
I just wish they were here to see this big day of their grand daughters wedding

It's warm out at the moment. But, it's wreaking havoc: raining and the rain is immediately freezing! I just came home and the roads are like a skating rink. Snow day for the kids: 15 cm of snow, freezing rain and a huge galing wind. -.- Not fun!!!

This is wonderful news! Thanks for your support. I think that shock is settling down and reality is beginning to bite. I guess it doesn't take long when the bills appear in the mailbox. ha ha ha Oh well, I'm sure something will appear. I've been mulling over applying for an editorial position with the government. Only problem is the French -- I am semi-trilingual but my French is very rusty. I'm checking out some free podcasts/lessons on speaking and brushing up on the written part. ha ha ha yea, more pressure to perform! ha ha ha oh well, I can always focus on my bio for Cags. I still haven't sent it to him, but he knows me. I'm slow but never late.

I can't believe it is 11 pm and just woke up from falling to sleep on couch and I missed one hour of American Idol I never fall a sleep that early. Lin is fast a sleep and now I am wide a wake It has been so long days latley with all the driving and working everyday. I wears us out driving as YOU should know right.
Well I might as well get to bed too so have a great rest of the night and sleep well, and be careful driving to work.
