they decided on another candidate
BUT
they are analyzing the needs of their software engineering department in the hopes of creating a new position for me. This would be permanent full time! The original position I applied for is a short term contract (3 months).
Now, the waiting begins AGAIN for 2 weeks.
I'm hoping that this will be a project manager position.... which is perfect for me.
*sigh* I'm running out of patience waiting......I am so sorry Beth, But you know what maybe this is going to work out better for you > Permanent job and full time
Everything happens for a reason Beth and this reason is for you to get full time and permanent and not the 3 months job. Hang in there Beth and it will all work out to your favor Beth-it sounds like you'll win in the long run with the second position offered. Saying my prayers for you.

0Well Hello Klara. i have missed seeing you here. As well as all the rest of the girls. Nothing new here Klara accept still searching for new employment with no luck yet.
How is the weather down there? It has been cold and damp for days but the say it will be in the low 50's and sunny tomorrow followed by rain and snow mixed Sat night into Sunday.

Mark, it's a perfect day for the beach about 80 degrees, although it feels 90. A gorgeous summer day! We will head to the beach later on, once it's less hot.
We are having our annual Miami Beach boat show. I drove by and saw those beauties. I'm amazed at the size and luxury of some of these yatchs. They are gigantic. You can literally live in one of them with your extended family.
Every time I drive by Collins Avenue (check out how it looks) I think about you, and Beth coming cruising down to Florida. LOL Must be nice to be able to walk up to the seller and cut out a big check and head home in one of those, huh?
I just finished cleaning the house and I smell like Clorox, Mr. Clean, and Windex!
I do this every Saturday or Sunday... but with my American Eski I have no choice but to make it a weekly project that takes up the entire morning and early afternoon. She sheds so much that I have to clean EVERYTHING constantly. That, plus I'm a clean freak.
Now I must shower to start on lunch (CHICKEN QUESADILLAS) Everyone's invited! Then, off to the beach!
Mark, be patient about the job. It will come. Meanwhile, don't leave the one you have right now. The market is in the pits and you need steady income.

I just love Collins Blvd. When you mentioned that Blvd. it brought back many memories when my friend and I went there on one of many Florida trips. I never got to take Linda there, but I will when we visit you I wish I could be at the boat show, but that would be very dangerous for me. Just like I can't go into a casino :lol:so I must stay away form it.
I am so glad you had a wonderful day with your hubby. Linda and I went to the Island and walk the Beach. She and her girl friend went to breakfast and her and I went to diner after hitting the beach, although it wasn't 80+ that's for sure. It didn't matter as long as we smell that fresh salt air coming off the Ocean that is good enough for me.
As we ate I looked at her and said how lucky we are to have and live here. We have waited for 30 years to get to this point in our lives and it has finally come.
You and your husband and Linda and I , I believe, are truly blessed and I am so thankful to God and my will to stay sober. This is why it all happened. I was able to help myself and than I was being helped by God to fulfill my life dreams.

I know that I cannot keep doing what I'm doing for the next 15-20 years. I also know that I can't afford to take a 50% pay cut to move to another school district so this fits right in with everything that I've been looking for. This would be a wonderful change for me so I'm visualizing, praying and keeping positive thoughts about it.

After work I went to Mens Warehouse to get fitted for my TUX I hope I don't gain any weight before May Been having too much sweets . I think since I quit drinking I have a craving for sweets and Ice Cream and that adds up on the weight scale

It's nice and warm here. It rained a little bit this weekend but I don't mind. I like our Florida rain because all we get are summer showers, where it pours for a couple of hours and then the sun comes out and everything looks vibrant green and smells fresh.

Well it looks like we are all very unhappy with our jobs I haven't been here for a day or so. Went away over weekend with No Pc and I went crazy I hope you both have much success in finding that dream job that you will love. That darn Health Ins. is keeping me from leaving my job, but you know what I just may take that chance. I will find something and Linda is about had it with her job as a Customer service Rep for the last 12 years and now the drive added on to that. She is really bummed and BP has gone up and really stressed out from it all as i am too.
SOOOOO, what do we all do? To take a chance sounds good I think. Stress will kill us all as you may already know. Is it really worth our health and happiness all for a crappy job we hate and to be help captive to our job all for Insurance and job security as my job is for me.?
It looks like Linda won't even lake it until May 11th. Hang in there girls and don't stress over the small stuff. I just think I will just go for it and take my chance. After all Nothing will change in life unless we change it .

Sorry to hear about all of the stresses Mark. You and Linda need to hang in there, especially for those future grandkids!
Good luck to you Klara. Glad that you realized that it's not worth your time and energy to pursue that certification. You are right, that's exactly what would happen and what I am experiencing every day. This job is still teaching, just as a remedial reading teacher for college students. It's soooo much closer to home, awesome hours and still within my pay range, even if I had to take a cut it wouldn't be as much. I can only imagine what it would be like to teach adults who are paying to be there! Ahhhh...Hang in there, the right job will come along for you.@ Cara -- teaching adults is a whole lot better!!! I've taught adult ed and tutored mature students. Totally different attitude -- they WANT to be there and half of the battle is won.

@ Klara -- that's a smart move on your part. I don't know what is going on with education these days. It definitely isn't what it use to be. My 11th grade daughter was told she would have an "quest" (combination of exam, questions and quiz -- whatever that means!) in two days on a topic that they were not taught in class. When I contacted the teacher, she told me that she expected the students to learn the subject matter on their own time as she didn't have the time to teach them! I took one hour and taught her two weeks' work of lessons!! She wrote the test but the teacher won't tell her class their grades nor will she hand the exam back. Why? Because she discovered she made mistakes in the questions!!! Same thing happened to my Grade 10 son!!! Where is all the funding going?!? SORRY! Didn't mean to rant at you. Anyhow, thank you for the video. AWESOME! and, I danced like they did!! Sending you positive energy and thoughts your way! Enjoy your warm shower outside! I'm waiting for another blizzard to hit in about an hour. ha ha I love snow!!!
@ Mark -- hang in there!! You are right about stress killing us! I think that the group of us should meet up near Klara's!! That way, we can destress, meet each other and just chill. Our problems maybe solved together, or not. One thing I do know, we'll all head back home with a new perspective, great memories and closer friends.

I took pills from walmart something like Musnex ,I help the cough and broke up the mucus. Musinex spelled wrong sorry but feel better and I will talk to you later.
