How have you been Klara? I (we) miss seeing you here. I want to thank you for sending the warm weather up the Atlantic to me. Can you imagine all next week will be in the low 70's I am loving it. All the places that closed for the winter such as my favorite Ice cream place is open and the Crab Shack will be opening in a week in which Linda Loves their seafood.
It is Stefani's Bridal Shower tomorrow. She will be so surprised. She thinks she is going to her fiancee's great grandmothers 95th B-Day party.LOL I just bought one of those GE water coolers for them because where they life is well water and it is bad stuff. At least they can drink so good water and cook with it. PLUS of course Linda bought a boat load of other stuff LOL
have a great Sunday and nice to see you again here.Don't forget your lotion on the beachYay! It will be fun, I'm sure! We have a wedding in Spain this summer too. My sister-in-law, so it will be nice being in Europe during the summer months. I hope I can get to do a bit of sightseeing, but it all depends on who we can find to take care of my dog.
We can't take her with us. Too many hours of flight and she's a senior citizen. But we'll see!

It's very windy here tonight. I'm on a sixth floor with balcony facing East (three blocks from the beach) and it feels like a horror movie. The rising wind can be pretty scary if you're not used to it.
It was a perfect beach day today all day. But my husband and I went to the South Beach farmers market to get some fresh veggies for the lentil soup I cooked today and for tomorrow's meal. I love FOOD - buying it, cooking it, and eating it!
How's everything with you? How's your mom?The challenge has gone smoothly so far despite my little son Mark having had an accident that required some suturing ... Now that he is back to school.. ( final exams here) I have a part of the day to do my work while I have to be with him helping him with his studies.. in the evenings... Been nursing my 6 year old... he fell last week at recess, banged his head on the ice/concrete.... and ended up with a mild concussion. Rise and Shine HP!
It's a beautiful Thursday Morning! And I'm excited because I finished writing my first novel, which I will be mailing to my sister today. This is so exciting! I'm concerned about the grammar, but I've done my best and from now on it's up to an editor to take the work off my hands. I'm not too concerned about the work getting published or not. What's important to me is that I was able to start (four years ago) and finish last night. I'm a LEO, you see? We're stubborn and fixed! When we set ourselves to do something, we do it!
Sofs, Cara, Beth, Denise, Mark, you are all GRAND! I hope the rest of the week goes by smoothly.

Mason the swimmer. Linda took him to the bay yesterday after she was done work and he ran right into the water. He loves the Ocean and the Bay BUT hates to get a bath. It must be the soap and the bubbles I think

St. Patrick's was awesome! We went to a South Beach irish pub with a really BAD band playing, but after a few drinks they started sounding better. LOL
My ex-band mates came over and brought some more friends and we did a bit of bar-hopping before we called it a night. You would think we got home wasted, but trust me! We talked and laughed more than we drank. We are not the ideal consumers for the night scene! LOL Came home at 5am and woke up at 1pm. It was a lot of fun though!

I just finished a hub about my father. Today would have been his 97th birthday, and even though he died when I was 11 years old I still miss him. He was the best... quite a character!

I am beat working on this eBook and trying to get the cover done. I used a sunset from the bay but had to put it in Photo shop to put the title and Name on it . The problem I had is that this crappy note book I am using is junk and I save it and when go to download to Kindle the pic is Not there. I finally got it but now I have to wait till tomorrow to see how it looks on the page.
Then I started 323 hub of the 30/30 and when i saved it the score was 43 Holy crap it was never that low so mark gives up for tonight. 12 midnight and morning comes fast.

There is no point! I'm 5'2" and can't go lower than 150! It's been like that forever, and most people don't believe me when I tell them that I currently weight 160. I should point out that when I was 145 you could see all my bones, so there must be some true to that "thick bone" excuse. But I could still lose at least 15 pounds, and I'm doing nothing about it. Meanwhile...you keep posting cake recipes!!

As for thick bones, yes, that is a definite factor. As well as muscle mass -- muscle is more dense and can make you gain weight when you work out! I need to shed a few pounds too -- ya know, this pic is a few (many) years old!
Yeah, me and my cakes. I have a sweet tooth! But the next one I post is calorie friendly. I'm trying to get into a new bikini by the end of June but my hibernation eating habits isn't being too cooperative.

I've been trying to follow a Rachael Ray carrot cake recipe. I went ahead and bought two packs of carrots and everything, but one of the ingredients I couldn't find anywhere: cream of tartar. What in the world is that?!
Where do you get "cream of tartar"? Should I use some toothpaste? HELP PLEASE!LOL

Hey look ladies, You both look beautiful the way you are How about me....I lost 40 lbs when I quit drinking and ever since I moved here to the shore I have gained almost 20 lbs back. Not good at all. I am now depressed about that because as you know with men, we get the gut and the love handles I must stop eating ice cream and cookies at night or anytime for that matter. If I keep this up I will NOT be able to fit into my tux in May. I have already been measured one month ago, so I better cool it with the snacks right ???

You can find cream of tartar in the spice aisle in your grocery store. It's usually a small bottle or small spice can, it's white and is used as a stabilizer in baking, especially when whipping egg whites or whipping cream. If you are close to a health food store, they will carry it as well as your local Walmart (every country seems to have those! ) and bulk food store. A little will last forever!!
I have a special treat coming in the next couple of weeks. A low carb (I don't think that really is enough to count), low calorie and healthy cake. No carrots in it, but you can use fresh/frozen fruit!
I'm going away for the next three weeks -- my dad's 80th birthday celebration -- the first of two! I can hardly wait!!!

It is amazing how people overlook those that are in need of help, because they just don't want to be involved. God for bid it may take up some of their time right. The street people have more respect for human life than the rich or educated people in our world.

I an not going to make the 30/30 by 1 am. I took 2 days off from writing hubs and thought I had 28 hubs but in fact I had 27. i am going to publish 2 tonight but one (1) short. I can't smell any grass here because my yard is all stone, so I gave my new Lawn mower away. All I smell here is the salt air from the bay and I just love it.
