Thank you Klara and you do the same . Enjoy. I worked today and 8 1/2 hours tomorrow BUT I am off Monday Hooray The the 5am to 10 am or so shift starts
HI Mark, all is good. We are spending the long weekend at home enjoying each other's company. Plus, reading, cooking (Baked my own bread yesterday!), and watching interesting stuff online. All is good! I hope you and Linda are doing well.
Happy Wednesday to everyone. Today is my (youngest) granddaughters FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN. I called her and she informed me she is wearing her pink dress with blue dogs...that will be one to remember I'm sure! But, according to Cara it won't be for the full day-just a quick visit to meet the teacher. Then on Thursday she gets to ride the school bus with all the other big neighborhood kids! Hope all is well with everyone.
Are you all aware, btw, that Sofs mother passed away several weeks ago? I think it was unexpected.
Morning Denise What are you doing up so early. I was supposed to go to work at 5 am but hurt my back at work and I need to rest it. I am off tomorrow so I think the couple of days will help mend it I hope
Hi Klara I am home from work. My fist day back after hurting my back at work. Went to Company Dr and got xrays and all that good stuff. i worked the front door today and the rest of the week until my re check on Friday. They called me in office at 3pm to ask if I still wanted the stocker job and I said to be honest and for the sake of my health and the Company I should not continue with it.
So the GM told me they will keep me permanent and just go back to maintenance. I was so happy to hear that.
Mark, I'm glad to hear they're working with you. It's awesome that they heard you out and left you in the position you wanted. Awesome all the way!
Denise, my babies are pooping all over the balcony now! Ugh! I bought that roll of paper at Home Depot to cover the section where they were, and that same day they learned to fly out of the nest. Now they're all over the place! Ugh! I can't wait for them to FLY AWAY!!!
Hi Denise! Yes, they keep pooping! I'm about to go out there to start flapping my arms and teach them to fly... away! I miss the activity in this thread. :-( I can tell Mark has been busy working. I'm going to commit to passing by more often... like Joe Dirt used to say... gotta keep on keepin' on!
Good afternoon my fine ladies Mark has not been on Pc for some time and have not written either:( I messed up my back over a week ago and bailed out of the stock job. I am one light duty for another 10 days and greeting the members at the door. standing for 5 hours on concrete doesn't help my back as you may know, but I have to do something. right.?
I miss all of you darlings, Klara, Beth (MIA) Sophie (MIA) and of course Denise and Cara.. I hope all is well with all of you and I still love you all much
No boating lately because I have to bring gas by gas can to full the boat up and mix the oil. The marinas don't sell 50:1 ratio gas anymore here. All the newer boats have a separate oil tank and then you can just put the straight gas in the tank.
All done work for today and at least I don't have to be in by 5 am any more
Mark, I hope you feel better soon. I'm sure the costumers are happy to see your smiling face at the entrance. Take it easy and try to rest as much as you can. We'll talk soon! XOXO
Hey Klara, back from work and now heading over to the Island to get my son set up in his new place. Winter rental for now. He has been living with Linda and I for a couple of weeks and the park doesn't let 3 people stay in one place.
his place linda and I found and it is on the Island and the Marina is at his back door and the beach is one short block from his pad. Crap ...he has a better view than I LOL.
Good for him and I am sure on the way back from work he will be passing by our house and more than likely stopping in for din din LOL.
have a great rest of your Sunday and tell your husband Hi too.
Hi Mark, glad to hear he's settling somewhere nice. We're dealing with issues having to do with the building where we moved in last year. Hopefully his place will be okay. Say hello to Linda! Don't work too hard!
Hi Klara it is 12:01am and just got back from my sons beach pad LOL. Worked to 10 pm and then Linda said joes refrig. was not cold so I went over to the Island and check it out. we bought him food and didn't want that to go bad. It was just fine. While I was there I went up to the beach and just stood in the sand (pitch black out there in that ocean I might add.) and thanked God for all we have and thanked him for giving me my dream of living by the sea.
I wish so bad my parents could see what Linda and I have done to improve our lives and make our long time dream finally come true and none of this would of happened if I were still drinking. I just no it.
Good night dear and sleep well ok. See ya tomorrow
Hi Denise, It is 11:30 pm and home from work and have to be back in in a few hours at 5am so I must get to bed fast have a great Friday Denise and talk to you later
Gorgeous, Mark! How beautiful! Check out the video I created for my youtube channel. (That's me singing, BTW) and see our last Summer's sunrise and first Autumn sunrise. No leaves falling here. Everything is as green as spring all year long. :-) I've actually NEVER seen what Autumn looks like. (sigh) Maybe one day!
Hi Darling come to me house and the pines barrens are a few miles away and the trees are beautiful when the turn. I am going to watch you video now. I am waiting for my son to get here with his new girl friend to maybe go on boat, but it is so windy and I bet the bay is rough, so we will see.
Thank you, Mark. I'm glad you liked it. It was recorded many years ago, but I was looking for a long song to add to my video footage and then I couldn't find one, so I used my own. Lol I just subscribed to your channel on youtube. I love those little guys! I love the fact that you're spreading the word based on your experience. It's so important!
I also watched / heard it through FB, Klara-beautiful. Love you doggie too. Mark-Cara told me it was 'jacket' weather today. Wind is cold and blowing. I woke up, put shorts on, went outdoors, came in immediatly and put on jeans and a sweater. It is gusty and cold here too. Well, I'm off to Wal Mart with J. enjoy your day off both of you.
Hi Denise, It is beautiful here now at 4pm. Wind is down and sun is bright and hot. About almost 80. Never went on boat although I should go now . The bay is flat and no waves. Mt son behind the helm and Linda is just relaxing
Hi Klara and thanks. I will subscribed to your too. you need to show me some things such as how to you get lettering on your videos and how you add music. I am a dummy when it come to things like that.
Mark, I use Windows Live Movie Maker. It came with my laptop, so I don't know if your computer came with it already. If not, you might want to buy it. It's very easy to use. Can't go wrong with it. :-)
Hope you enjoyed the water, Mark! Unfortunately, I didn't get a boating invitation all summer, and now the weather's cooling and the leaves are turning. Looking forward to next summer already.
Hi Motown, and Klara, sorry I didn't invite you but I haven't been boating all that much this summer do to boat engine went bad and out of water for about a month and just today,, I gas her up and put the engine down and fire it up and next thing the steering was seized up. So of to the boating store to get a grease gun and greased up all the steering cables.
plus the bay was like the ocean. White caps and good size waves. High winds and everything else. I guess I wasn't meant to go out today, but tomorrow is another day
My boat is docked at my sisters house on LBI and in a cove, and the cove looked like the Ocean
worked my 8.5 hours last night and slept for 3 hours and back in at 5am. marky is a tired Boy. i hope everyone has a great weekend> the Chowder Fest is on the Island Today , saturday and closes on Sunday. thousands of people come from all over and the Island will be packed NOt to say So isd Costco Too.
Sorry Markie. Bummer, but do remember the positive's : YOU don't have that gosh awful drive and that will even be better come winter. YOU are getting all sorts of experience and aren't bored yet, And, well, whatever else you can think of, haha.
Mark-I am not looking forward to going back to work and doing the midnight shifts. I hate them. It wrecks my health.
Woke up at 3;30 am and left for work at 4:40 am. Got out of work at 10 am and took Linda for breakfast and then to the boat for a nice ride. A bit windy but good. The boat ran great and went about 1/4 mile from the inlet and turned around. As I turn boat it just stopped. I tried for a half hour to get it started as the wind was getting worse and the waves getting larger because we were drifting and close to the inlet. I worked on engine and threw the anchor .
Linda was very upset. The sky darkened up fast and I decided I had better call Boat US to save me LOL. They came in about 15 minutes and had to tow me back 8 miles to our house.
Cost is 300 bucks per hour from the minute they leave their dock until they return. It took about 1 1/2 hours to get to my house. My insurance will cover up to 3 hundred and the Capt. will call me tonight with the balance due
One hell of a day at Sea Sir All I keep seeing is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Thank you Sweetie I am going to boat tomorrow and check it out while at the dock you should of seen me trying to pull spark plugs out while bouncing all over from the waves and worrying that I would drop my tools and the spark plugs overboard.
I hope you are well and everything is good for you. I will keep you updated after Mark the Doctor looks into the brains of the motor
Hello friends. I haven't been too active on Hubpages recently. But, if you check the NOTIFICATIONS tab at top, sometimes the discussion boards will show up from the past activity.
I just added new info to the fracking Hub, since Dallas has had unusual earthquake activity. Can you believe the state governments allow this oil extraction even if it endangers homes, communities and the environment?
I've also been busy with my radio and video shows, so little time for writing new HP.
Hi Debby, Hi Mark Have a great eve. Good seeing both of you...haven't seen ANYONE for so long. Well, gotta run...getting ready to watch the Presidential debates.
Hello to Mark and Denise ~ Just watched the Presidential debate. I kept waiting for Jill Stein to blow them away. We're simply not getting anywhere. I also don't know why the pundits blasted Obama. He told it like it was from his point of view from the oval office.
Good idea. Made me smile too though I just realised I'm not going to win this challenging thread where people are posting for three years now. I'll come and post next year maybe. In the meantime, keep showing us Beautiful America.
I have set myself a little task (or it might be a massive task, if the 99th person has many hubs!) to read their hubs and leave a genuine comment on every hub i read of the 99th person to post! The prize is obviously that i will read all their hubs and leave a comment on every one of the hubs...
This has been perplexing me for a while - has something changed or have I just gone ga-ga?Being in a different time zone from most Hubbers, I rely on being able to click the "Your" button to catch up with who's posted on threads since I commented.Recently I've been missing comments...
