When I try to place the word box content to continue with my hub post I get an issue about a problem with the servers.

I have tried doing this several times but the same thing keeps happening. I don't see any reports of this problem so I hope it's not on my end. Thanks!

Is that error in the word "Erros" in your title part of a subtle joke?

I just created and published a hub without problems. Hopefully whatever problem has been corrected or it was just a fluke.

Still not working for me. The error is coming when I'm supposed to type the exact words in the box to continue to the next page. Here's the error reported:

"We're sorry, there seems to be something very wrong with our servers.  Please try again.  If it still does not work, please contact technical support".

Is there a problem on my end somewhere?

Hi Tony smile weekends are terrible for tech probs n spam floods tongue but Maddie helps with the floods smile tech probs ...I am not sure which point you are talking of ...I don't know of any *exact words in a box* form of which you speak. hmm maybe clear out your history and refresh or come in through another browser? just a thought.

I'm talking about when you have the text words on one of the pages that you need to match exactly by typing in the confirmation box.

I don't know what it's called TBO. This box is on a lot of sites when trying to verify things. In the meantime, I'll try IE for now to see what happens. Thanks!

"tonybologna"....you've got to be a New Yorker. The Bronx maybe? Brooklyn?

      Nope! Tennessean though!

I must be an alien then for not having that confirmation box. I've had this come up before publishing EVERY hub page. What the heck?

I do have one flagged hub but it was something that I copied directly from another personal site of mine. This shouldn't have anything to do with the confirmation box. Am I the only one needing to do this box? Geez!

I've never had a hub flagged, so really don't know.

I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here, but you really should think twice before copying any substantial text from somewhere else--even if it belongs to you. You're better off linking to it than copying from it. Not just from a HubPages perspective, but Google doesn't like duplicate content either. If we had more control over our HubPages, we could input the correct canonical code or tags or whatever to tell Google which is the primary one. But since we can't do that here, it's not a great idea.

Besides, when you duplicate content when it's your own, then aren't you just competing with yourself for rankings?

As for the duplicate content thing I only done this to save time on posting the same article. I'm not trying to take shortcuts but trying to get a message out about prostate awareness.

This was a long article I typed & to do that again would take a good while so I did copy it from my other website.

I'm not trying to compete for myself for rankings either. I'm just trying to make public awareness about prostate awareness & there are other alternatives other than prescription meds & conventional treatment.

I feel copying content this way isn't anything wrong with it. I'm just trying to post my content in several places to give awareness to my area of coverage. That's all! Thanks!

and to contact tech support. I just tried and it is still
    doing it.

I finally got mine working. However, I do still have to enter the matching text string to continue. I was trying to verify a "Google Webmasters Tools" HTML file. I was doing this by making a new hub with the title as that HTML file. I guess it wasn't allowed. I don't need it anyhow.

I still don't understand what Dame Scribe is talking about in that she doesn't have that verification box though. It's there when I try to publish all my hub pages. Maybe she's very special. Ha! big_smile

crasyhorsesghost: I am sorry that someone has not responded to you sooner. I will try to help you out but it can be difficult to track down what is wrong when the problem is not widespread.

If you haven't already tried these things, I would suggest:

    1) Completely exiting your browser and trying again.
    2) Holding down the shift key while refreshing the page before filling out your new hub's title, etc.
    3) Trying a different browser.
    4) Make sure that the hub you are creating has a url that isn't taken and that you have filled out all of the required fields properly. (This should be done for you automatically but perhaps there is an issue here that I am not aware of.)
