   I love to write and have been comparing different writing communities for quite awhile. I have decided to stick with HubPages because the community here is very friendly, and the site loads quickly and incorporates web 2.0 effectively.

   Hub Pages presented an opportunity to do another edit pass on my book "A La Carte", Tales Of Food & Drink Digested From 55 Years of International Travel". Posting a chapter a week got me a mulltude of readers who provided helpful comments. That first pass worked so well, I'm at it again with our first Children's Story Book "Pop-Pop's Magic Chair". My new HUB Series (Russell-D) tells the weekly progress of the book from start to now 6 weeks from release into the E-Catalogues of Amazon and Barnes & Nobles plus world wide web sites including our own. For my 120 Hubs, I've been repaid in satisfaction, in meeting other writers I would never have met, in reading and being read. HUB PAGES WORKS because of the people.  David Russell

    To give out some tips on issues people may be facing and to improve my writing skill and creativity. The simple point being i want some writing advice to make me a better hub writer and author because i like to be creative and writing a novel sounds hard but it can be fun at times. I want to get points on the grammar and other things that can help me out when i get older and get into writing as a hobby.

    I came across hubpages by accident! I was curious as I was finding where to post my articles online until I read someone posted saying HP is good.
    
    So I thought it could be fun. Starting was hard especially learning those sections thing but after that, it was all pure fun (right until now!)
    
    At the same time, i was looking for a place to get nice traffic, being able to post what i think and earn a little bit income from it!

    I wanted a forum where I could write whatever I wanted and see what worked. I also wanted to read what other people were writing and I've found some amazing writers that I really enjoy reading. In the end I think, to some degree, Hub Pages has given me something to look forward to everyday.

    I join Hubpages for the fun of it in the first place.  And then the love starts to form.  It's so easy to fall in love with Hubpages, and most members will agree with me, I'm sure.  The friends here, numerous knowledge that we can learn and many more.  Last but not least, the earnings are also a great bonus.

    I've always considered myself a writer, yet somehow always get stuck at the part where I actually have to share my writing with people.
    
    I joined Hubpages (just recently!) to encourage myself to write more and actually get my writing out there.  With the built-in community and great interface, it's a little less daunting than trying to start a blog from scratch.  Plus the possibility of making some pocket change in the process isn't a bad motivator (though of course we'll see how that actually works out   )

    I joined HubPages for the same reason as many other hubbers - to gain visibility of my writing.
    
    Another reason why I am using HubPages is the fact that this website is really different from all the other article directories and it is a lot more than them.
    
    There are so many things that I can do on HubPages that I spend like 2-3 hours on it every day.

    I joined because I learned of it through Webanswers. I heard it was a good site I could write on and even make a few cents with AdSense. I love to write about everything from Aliens to Politics. So hubpages is the place for a guy like myself. I love Hubpages!

    I've been blogging for about 3 months now...you know the personal type on another site and was referred to this one by a fellow blogger.  Signed up and left for a while.  Had an incident at work where a co-worker told me that I have the answer for almost every question there is for handling customers so I decided to start a hub on that.
