The space is the most conducive for new and seasoned writers alike to give each other feedback on their writing. Writers can also get acclimated to new styles of writing and express themselves freely

I joined mostly as an outlet for my creative writing. To publish some of my poetry and articles and get feedback.

I truly want peer reviews of what I write so my writing will progress and get better.

For me, this is a learning and growing forum.

I never knew that Hub means a lot to life. One can express his experience, grief and happiness through Hub, the way he wants. You have a free hand here in Hub . You are yourself a student, teacher  and you get colour from the renowned and genius personalities.. Your opinions about things in life may give life to some people who are wandering in darkness. for want of proper guidance.  The meaningful matter about  gaining money was never known to me and in fact I am not here for earning dollars. I want to share feelings of life here in Hub  as life has no stability if you are doing everything alone. and sharing nothing with anyone.

Same as most of the others.   Joined it because it's an easy place to place content you want others to read.   We write not only for ourselves but for others.   Generally, we want plenty of others to read our stuff.  We're all full of our own importance; we all think our story is fascinating and that others will really want to know about it: our lives, our adventures, our beliefs.   Hubpages allows us to do that.    Maybe it's a vanity thing.   I suspect it is.   We, of course, kid ourselves that we might really have something of real importance to say.

That said, I do find that there are many good writers on Hubpages who do have interesting and educational things to say - like yourself, for asking this question...

Simply put, to express my creative outlet, which is writing. And to possibly drive traffic and if I make money from being here great. If not oh well. I'm loving this site thus far and the way it lets me express myself.

Honestly, I initially joined to support a friend and I could only follow her if I signed up. Since then, I have really enjoyed being able to write my thoughts/ramblings/musings and get amazing feedback by those who feel the same.  I also love to read so many wonderful topics in one place by great and talented people.

I saw a advertisement  on comcast home page and ckick on it and here I am. I think Hubpages has so much to offer to everyone.  Their system is great with all the information that it tells you.

I love writing articles and I do so on my blog and a couple other sites, but Hubpages seems to be the best for me,  I want to be able to have a wide range of people read my work and comment on it if they so desire.  It's a great site and I enjoy all of the people that write on it as well.

What I write about mostly is alcohol addiction and basically my life with it.  I want people to be able to read my stories and experiences on just how I achieved my sobriety back into my life, and maybe some of what I write will help someone else with the same problem as I.
    Thanks so much!

I joined to give more exposure to my articles.  I found out about Hub Pages through an article somebody wrote for Associated Content-which I also write for.  The person listed ten different sites he writes for and I checked out HP and liked what I saw.

I've joined because I want to encourage my fellow readers to make a trip (if they have the opportunity) and visit my country, Hungary.
I think it is beautiful and is a must be seen 'type' of destination.
I also would like to answer some questions that interest people - like the ones that are unanswered here, on HP.
I hope all the people who read my hubs will find my writings interesting and memorable.

I joined HubPages as a way to reach out to others who have severe allergies and asthma, but also to try my hand at writing on other topics that interest me.

Working out of the house is impossible due to my health issues, but I am definitely able to work from home.  I have written for this site and a couple of others, in addition to my blogs.  HubPages has become a good place to have an online portfolio to show prospective clients.

One last reason, HubPages has some great writers sharing helpful, insightful information, along with many great creative writers, and even those who like to brighten our days with some humorous hubs! HubPages is a great place to be for these and many other reasons!

I was told about this site a year ago by an acquaintence who knew I loved to write.  We met at a library where he found out I was submitting work to Writers Digest and other places.  Thinking I was that serious he suggested it to me, however, I never followed up until May of this year.  By that time, I was tired of never getting any feedback.  My first hub was posted on Mothers Day.  I fell in LOVE and I'm afraid I'm 'addicted'.  Now I ask, "What took me so long?"
I had no idea, initially, about 'earning money'.  For me that's a secondary (I know-so unAmerican) outcome.  I love that I have a 'home' for my work; that there is an instant feedback system, (am open to all feedback, BTW, the good, the bad and the ugly. Am always interested in receiving critique for improvement); that the 'community' is so supportive; and that I am meeting people from ALL OVER THE WORLD with a common interest!  You (fellow hubbers) ROCK.  smile
I have not experienced any other writing sites, because I am so satisfied here and have all I can do to keep up with writing on a regular basis, participate in a few challenges, and support other writers with comments.  However, a side plus is how much I am learning to maneuver my way through the ins and outs of what hubpages offers.  It seems there is always something new to delight in!
I recently emailed the friend who turned me onto this site and thanked him.   ---With much Gratitude--DH

I am a member of a few sites where I post my writing. I must admit that the possibility to make some money while doing what I love - writing! - is what lured me in to this site. And of course I've yet to make any good money here. But that's ok. I mean, I would definitely love to make some good money, but what is more important to me is writing great hubs that people will find interesting and informative, hubs people will enjoy and comment on, hubs that will create discussions.

I joined to advertise my web site & promote my painting holidays, B&B and holiday cottage in France.

I stayed because as well as working for the above, I found it great for putting the creativity back into my life, for learning about the internet, for solving many and varied problems through Answers and other people's Hubs, and for learning about Limousin and our area in France through research for my Hubs. (If I get paid that would be a huge bonus!)
