I am interested, is it just doing 30 hubs within 30 days?  when does it start?  Never done one but yes, I will do it.  Let me know when we officially start smile

Go to the top three threads in the 30 Hubs in 30 days Hub Challenge sub-forum for instructions and where to post links.  No need to start new threads.  Congrats on joining us in the challenge.  Your 30 days starts when YOU decide.  Read up a bit first. If you have questions, holler.

The recent one started on the 24th.  It is a good motivator even if you come a little short.

I'm glad that you're big on this.  I'm afraid I find it too crass and commericial for my taste.  I may have to at a look at what value I thought I found here.

You're certainly finding value by having a whinge in the forums!

Pete, we all know you are against the challenge, you don't need to post on every single thread to remind us.

People post on every single thread to say how great it is.

With all the negative posting you've been doing, you could have already written 30 hubs.  Oh well.

My apologies that you can't see the difference between someone who posts out of doing something they enjoy and a person who just wishes to complain.

I have also agree that this challenge is a good motivator and good way to really find out if you can actually make money using HubPages. What I like about this site is that there is so much helpful information. There also seems to be some professional Hubbers who are actually making money with the writing they do and post here. Unlike other sites, this one is not full of get-rich schemes that waste your time and try to get your money. Making money with HubPages is hard work, but it seems like it can be done.

I'm going to use this challenge to try to learn as much as I can about keyword searching and also writing good hubs in under two hours. Hopefully this all can lead to other freelance writing goals and opportunities.

Well i think the hubchallenge team is great and the challenge is exactly what i needed to get myself serious about writing more good (okay, fairly good!!) articles.
    Traffic now great.
    Income even greater.

Glad to hear it.  Pesonally I don't bother spending my time visiting the political forum (for example) to say what a bore it is, or the religios forums to point out I blieve God's a waste of space.

Not sure what value it adds to you new people to do that to you here, when you're participating in something that is clearly working for others and can work for you.

I don't see anyone who has done or is doing the HubChallenge posting saying it's dreadful.

      Funny that.

So very glad to hear your traffic and income is up!

Hi Julie Ann, thanks for visiting my hub, and for your kind comments. I need to understand the formatting aspect you mentioned, and as an experienced hubber that you are, i cherish your advice dearly. Give it to me straight, it will only make me better. smile
        GodBless!

If I remember rightly there was some awkward spacing, and headings were in caps rather than using the text capsules for each point and putting the headings in as the capsule headings.  Take a look at any of mine at random and you'll see what I mean.

Also, images are purely a matter fo taset but I did wonder if images of beautiful women having facials is really what your target market wants to look at if they have severe acne...  It can be hard finding suitable images though for some sticky subjects.  I've a hub coming tpday that is very much a case in point.

Thanks masses. I now see what you mean. Going back to work on those issues now.
Thanks for this great advice. Surely appreciate it. smile

I am trying this 30 hubs in 30 days thing, seems like a good way to build up my profile and widen the net so to speak. I have a question tho, can you do more then one hub a day and have it count or does it have to be at least one every day to count for that day, basically I did more then one today and wonder if the second one counts? Might get in under 30 days if its ok to do as many as you have energy and interest in writing every day!

Kristen: The challenge is 30 hubs in 30 days. You can do all 30 on the 30th day if you want.  It's not a one a day challenge.  You can do it however you want.  smile  Welcome aboard! Have fun!

i accept the challenge  but is there prize for hubbers who win the challenge

    1. Silver Rose profile image66
Silver Roseposted 14 years agoin reply to this

The prize is that your income will improve. Seriously, the only way to improve income is a) to write a lot of hubs or b) get lucky with a killer hub that brings in a shedload of traffic from the search engines.

In order to stumble on b) (the killer hub) you need to do a) (experiment by putting out a lot of stuff).

I don't know if other hubchallengers have seen the thread about Reddit - it was full of folk saying "I'm desperate for earnings I'll try anything" and submitting to Reddit despite being told that the Reddit crowd doesn't click ads. But if they were really were prepared to "do anything" they would take part in the Hub Challenge rather than cling to a few hubs, desperately clutching at straws in the hopes they'll get discovered. But people think the hubchallenge is too "commercial" and "spammy" even though secretly everyone on this site is interested in the money side even if they won't admit it, and further they are happy to spam the social bookmarking sites! It's a mixed up world, and you've got to laugh!

    2. KCC Big Country profile image83
KCC Big Countryposted 14 years agoin reply to this

As Silver Rose said...the prize is the boost in your pageviews, earnings, self-confidence, fan base, etc.  It's about becoming a better writer and having fun.  The last challenge made a huge difference for many of us last time.  It's hard not to want to duplicate that all over again....so we are.

I just published my 30th hub! I know I didn't sign up for this craziness before my first hubpage but hey I have been here 2 weeks now and have made it to 30 hubs so even if its not official, in my own mind I have done 30 hubs in less then 30 days!

Awesome! Congrats!  That's a great accomplishment in 2 weeks! What's your plan now?  Kick back and relax? Start a new 30 days?

The thing about the 30 Hubs In 30 Days Hub Challenge is that its personal. It's about you. Competing against... you.

And you made 30 hubs in far less than 30 days, so in EVERYONES mind you did it!

      Congratulations!

    RNMSN,

I am 8 days into my HubChallenge. I have posted 9 hubs in eight days. However, I checked my stats and I have posted 30 hubs in the last 4 weeks!  I am on a roll! This is very motivating!
