Email Notications not being sent?

Isabella pointed out in a comment on one of my recent hubs that she did not receive an email notification that I had published it. (Thanks for the heads up.)
Since then, I've asked quite a few people from my fanclub, and NONE of them have gotten ANY email notifications for my hubs in weeks. This is very alarming to me.
What can I do to correct this?

We're looking into this.  The emails are being sent, but they may be getting lost somewhere en route.  Also, be sure that you have "Receive email from your favorite authors" checked on your profile page if you want to be notified when a new hub is published by someone that you are a fan of.

Whitney - Thanks so much for contributing here. Did you double check in your profile settings that you have that third option checked to receive email from hubbers like Paul is saying above? I found out that was the problem with a few other people who emailed me about this. They hadn't changed their settings, but somehow their settings were changed.

Coolbreeze is right about spam filters too. Did you check to see if your notifications are going to junk or spam folders, or being blocked altogether by your isp?

Thanks for looking into this, Paul. I'm sure people like Isabella have the correct settings clicked, and are not losing hub emails to spam. That's why her warning meant so much and got me started on this. I started asking everyone, and not one person I asked has received one email notification on at least my last 6 hubs. My stats prove that too - 80 fans, and formerlly each new hub got at least 20 hits from mail.google. My last 6 - 8 hubs all have ONE mail.google hit. That's it. There's definitely something wrong.

I can do a test one if you want. Maybe you could join my fan club, and let me know if you get the alert. I could ask everyone on here that's in my fanclub if they do receive the notification if they could do me a huge favor and just come here to the forum and let us know. My numbers are seriously suffering here, so I really appreciate the help. Thanks.

OK, I just posted a new hub, called First Date: To Drink or Not To Drink. 85 hubbers in the fanclub or there abouts. I would really appreciate any info, guys. If you got an email notification or if you didn't, would you just let me know? I'm not asking that you click on the link and go to the hub or anything. But if you get the email notifications for hubbers, I'd really appreciate it if you could just take a second and let me know here in the forum if you got mine. Thanks for your help.

    I got that one, Veronica.

I think I got the one before it also, actually. Maybe it's ok now?

Sometimes, for some funny reason, Yahoo directs hub mail to my Bulk folder, and I have to go retrieve them. Not all, only some, so that's funny.

Thanks Kenny, that's true, sometimes people's spam settings change.
3 people emailed me to say they didn't get the notification.

As this network grows and they send out thousands of emails a day with the same subject
blockage will be a growing issue.

Each message sent out has a score as to how it is perceived by the major filters.

Hubpages probably cant  check all messages to see if it has a high spam score.

This will dependent on your hub subject etc.

It will be interesting to see how they get around this issue.   And stay off the black lists.

Thank you so much, coolbreeze! I didn't think of the subject matter as being a factor, but you're right. Thanks for the insightful comment.

I'm still not getting emails... If I do it will be you have a comment, but when I check there are multiple comments.

I haven't received an email from a new hub in over a month. :-( I feel left out... *pouts*
