Thanks to the generosity of HubPages, YieldBuild just became FREE as of 09/03/09!! HubPages is just the BEST!! Thanks for all the hard work!! Blessings always, Earth Angel!!
I read through their pages and seemed ok, but the only thing I didn't see was the way to add to Hubpages. We don't copy and paste into the hub as people do with blogger, wordpress and the like. We use an affiliate number link. I did not see that from yieldbuild. So how can we use Yieldbuild?
LOL Micheal, it is built into Hubpages, you don't need to do anything.
EA post is confusing a bit, this free thing refers to independent publishers who use yieldbuild, not HP users, for them it always was free.
So yieldbuild does not help us with hubs then anymore than it already does?
thanks. Can we then, sign in to Yieldbuild and arrange the ads that way?
Greetings from Earth Angel!!
Yep, sometimes I get things a bit confused!! It's a "blonde thing!!??"
Nope, it is my understanding that YieldBuild has not always been free to HubPages!! At first it took an independent web site, at least 100,000 hits per month, and a 3% fee!!??
Is that correct, Misha??
Blessings always, Earth Angel!!
HubPages and YieldBuild are one and the same company. We have always used YieldBuild technology to optimize all the ads on HubPages, but we also offer the technology to other websites (formerly for a 3% fee, now completely FREE!!!).
This change does not affect Hubbers.
Thanks Misha and Maddie and Relache for the clarifications!!
Blessings always, Earth Angel!!
ah ha, explains the adamant support for yieldbuild from hubpages staff, when I was complaining about ad placement when I first began on hubpages
still think it should be tweaked.. love to see the stats on the effectiveness of ad placement on the very bottom of a hub after it exceeds 300 words
Not unless you sign up and use YieldBuild on your own website. Here at HubPages, it's all done automatically, since the two companies share founders and some staff between them.
So I'm not quite getting what your saying, is it included with hubpages or is it available if you sign up? I see the Icon on the bottom of hubs, so what if any is the change?
Yes, Yieldbuild IS a part of Hubpages code, and availbale to every hubber automatically. You can't turn it on or off, it always works for you, whether you know it or not.
Earth Angel was talking about people who use YB on their own sites.
EDIT Hi Maddie, cross-posted
Hardly free, we do still give 40% of our Adsense do we not ?
Please show me another site with a PageRank of 6 that we can publish on.
It's 40 percent of our impressions. And anything that is clicked or bought goes to the Hubs kitty - Amazon, Ebay, and Kontera as well.
And I hope they're doing well. I want Hubs around for a long time.
As do I Nelle, I just can't resist teasing, tis in my nature !
Oh gee. I just signed up with them. So what your saying is that I didnt have to do that.
Gee I is so dumbbbbb
Yeah, no need to sign up to YieldBuild for your HubPages, it's already integrated.
Thanks for that darkhorse. I well that will be one I dont have to go back to and finish off. thanks again.
A big thank you to the founders of Yieldbuild and Hubpages! Anything that helps readers to click on ads is all right by me. And I didn't have to do anything!

Is Hubpages losing popularity?I know that back in September Hubpages views and therefore, peoples profiles took a major dive. I read that writers were leaving Hubpages in droves. Are there significantly less writers here? Is it regaining popularity?

Squidoo seems to have died twiceThis is an absolutely fascinating hub http://hubpages.com/community/Google-vs-the-Hub-Pages if you have a penchant for analysing numbers. It records the number of hubs and followers on a daily basis since September 9th 2012.In September 2014, the import of Squidoo...

I can't believe that I'm ranked behind people who just link up American Idol highlights.I asked Hubpages what the deal was and they gave me a runaround. I'm starting to think this is all BS! Please help renew my faith.

If I may be so bold as to make a request of HubPages, I would like you to please re-examine at this time your decision to ban Jerrico Usher from the Hub Forums. He has proven himself to be quite mindful of the mistake he made before and seems to me to be waaay to smart to make the same mistake...
