I read through their pages and seemed ok, but the only thing I didn't see was the way to add to Hubpages. We don't copy and paste into the hub as people do with blogger, wordpress and the like. We use an affiliate number link. I did not see that from yieldbuild. So how can we use Yieldbuild?

LOL Micheal, it is built into Hubpages, you don't need to do anything. smile

EA post is confusing a bit, this free thing refers to independent publishers who use yieldbuild, not HP users, for them it always was free. smile

So yieldbuild does not help us with hubs then anymore than it already does?

It does, and always did. smile

    Greetings from Earth Angel!!

Yep, sometimes I get things a bit confused!! It's a "blonde thing!!??"

Nope, it is my understanding that YieldBuild has not always been free to HubPages!! At first it took an independent web site, at least 100,000 hits per month, and a 3% fee!!??

    Is that correct, Misha??

    Blessings always, Earth Angel!!

HubPages and YieldBuild are one and the same company.  We have always used YieldBuild technology to optimize all the ads on HubPages, but we also offer the technology to other websites (formerly for a 3% fee, now completely FREE!!!).

This change does not affect Hubbers.

ah ha, explains the adamant support for yieldbuild from hubpages staff, when I was complaining about ad placement when I first began on hubpages

still think it should be tweaked.. love to see the stats on the effectiveness of ad placement on the very bottom of a hub after it exceeds 300 words

Not unless you sign up and use YieldBuild on your own website.  Here at HubPages, it's all done automatically, since the two companies share founders and some staff between them.

So I'm not quite getting what your saying, is it included with hubpages or is it available if you sign up? I see the Icon on the bottom of hubs, so what if any is the change?

    Mishaposted 15 years ago

Yes, Yieldbuild IS a part of Hubpages code, and availbale to every hubber automatically. You can't turn it on or off, it always works for you, whether you know it or not.

Earth Angel was talking about people who use YB on their own sites. smile

    EDIT Hi Maddie, cross-posted smile

My point is that we get something for our 40%.

It's 40 percent of our impressions. And anything that is clicked or bought goes to the Hubs kitty - Amazon, Ebay, and Kontera as well.

And I hope they're doing well. I want Hubs around for a long time.
