I saw a nice quote this morning, just felt like sharing.
"In life, some people make things happen, some people watch things happening, and some people wonder what happened."
Which are you?
Me too, I am all three depending on time and situation.
Marisa what a great quote.
I have been a maker all my life long now I'm tired and would like to become a watcher but it just hasn't happened yet...
Maybe it's just in human nature that we all like to believe we're "makers', but I think I'm very much a "maker". Sometimes the drawback to that is that the thing one makes is a big mess, though. When we make things happen, however, it can be worth those occasional messes we make (sort of, I think - maybe).
I'm a watcher for sure...let other people do all the hard work!
I think being a watcher is a legitimate choice - some people get a lot of pleasure out of being a spectator!
FP - so you are .... lucky you!
Ahhhhh - I guess I'm a maker - sometimes I wish I weren't!
I think I would most accurately fall under the category of "a watcher with the tendency to wonder"
Great question! I'm a "watcher" currently transitioning into a "maker".
I watch; but based on what I've observed, I then predict what it is likely to happen. If I don't want what's likely to happen that's when I'll do what I can to make something else happen. If I like what it is likely to happen I may try to make it happen sooner, or turn my attention to a different prediction (that I don't like) and try to make something happen "in that department". I never stop spinning my wheels, watching, predicting, and making - which, I must say, can be very tiring.
Maker, with occasional watch days (it keeps my maker factory running)
I make things happen as I always tell my kids no one is ever going to come knocking on the door with a hand out. Hard work will always win.
Hi helen, did you notice that we both have 199 fans and we both published 37 hubs???
Wow we are twins. but I had 200 fans yesterday as someone pointed out so I have had a drop out lol. No worries I am sure it will increase. I just wrote two hubs over the last few days and published a few mins ago so that is an omen is it not?
Ok Helen, shall I have that honor and become your 200 fan?
No absolutely lol It's just a weird coincidence...
If you had Redneckwmn Helen that's your missing fan as she deleted !
I guess so bcz I felt that someone ditched me earlier...
Great minds think alike shamelabeboush and Health tips yes your right she was a fan and you became my 200th so I now have 2 200th fans in two days. Is that a record.

Why do bad things happen to people that don't deserve it?
by Claire Evans 10 years ago
I've found in my personal life that when I get my house blessed bad things seem to happen that makes things almost unbearable. It's a common motif on programs on hauntings. Why?

Between a doer, a spectator and a thinker, who do you consider yourself to be?I came across a quote and it made me wonder how people tend to view themselves?“There are three types of people in this world:those who make things happen, those who watch things happen andthose who wonder what happened.We...

Can't bad things just happen? Or, do bad things happen for a reason? Some people act like it is one's own fault that one gets cancer (e.g., not eating right) or getting robbed (one acted like a victim) or even for suffering a natural disaster (for putting out a negative vibe). What do you think and...

It really gets me riled when people doubt or dismiss God because He allows bad things to happen. His goodness comes in His forgiveness. He gives us bad situations to test our faith. It's normal to get angry at times and struggle over reasons why things happen, but try to look at the bigger...
