I have just received an email from Cris A. I just want everyone to know he, in his own words, 'is alive and kicking.' But he and his family has lost much in the storm. His family home was in a town worse hit, and only 2/3 of their 2 story home is still there. I hope he does not get upset with me, but I want to help. I have suggested to him if there was anyway I (we) can help him and his family.. I don't know...what do you all think? He used a borrowed laptop--so I do not know if he will make a forum post--So I have...and I hope I did not anger him by doing so...(sigh).
He did not say anymore than that--he did not give too many specific details. But I know he would not ask for anything other than appreciating our heartfelt well wishes and concerns. But thank you all. And to all who are concerned, Cris is alive and kicking.
Sandy
aka Am I dead, yet?
wow. i'm sorry to hear he and his family were touched hard by the storm, but i am glad he is ok. i don't know him well but he seems pretty groovy.
Yes, Cris is an awesome writer. http://hubpages.com/profile/Cris+A
Thank you all for commenting and well wishes.
I'm glad you posted this. I came here to post something similar. I heard from him just this morning. He has gone through much trauma, endured much material loss, but is alive (the most important thing), trying to keep his strength up, and now looking ahead to start over and get back on his feet.
Thank you for the update. I really wish there was more I could do. Thanks again, AW.
As do I.
I've encouraged him to write about the incident and include the shots he's sent. I told him writing "I'm No Superman" and all the well-wishes and positive feedback I recieved was hugely therapeutic and did wonders for me.
His attitude is strengthening and more optomistic already, and I think he might write the story ... if he gets the chance.
Good to know Cris is okay. I hope he and his family can get their lives back to normal soon. Best wishes
Thanks for that news dear. So glad to know he survived anyway. Now for news on Blondepoet. Cris will not mind you doing this dear.
Thanks for your replies. Thanks CC for thinking he may not mind. I was terrified to post this. But I truly wish him well.
I too am happy to know that Cris and his family have made it through, despite losing so much. And if you can think of a way of helping him Aidy - share it
And I'm with ralwus - now we just need to know how our awol BP is.
Thanks AIDY...so much. We have been wondering about him and concerned. It is so good to hear that he is OK. Thanks.
This is great news and I wish everyone the best in getting through this difficult time.
Thanks Sandy. Can you ask him where he live in Manila and if they already received some help from government or from those entities helping out the flood victims? Will appreciate it.
That's good to hear that Cris is doing okay. I certainly hope that things get better for him and his family. Thanks, AIDY for posting this.
It's a terrible time for many people. In Cebu, we've done what we could and sent donations of sorts (clothes, food and money) to the places that need help. Glad to know CrisA is okay and alive.
You need anything man- seriously- I'm here for you man! Take care Cris A, and be safe.
Good to know Cris is okay. If you read this Cris please let us know if we can do anything to help. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am so glad to hear that he is okay. I am sorry that he lost so much because of the storm. *HUGS* to you CRIS A!!!!! I hope that you know you are loved here and we all are thinking about you. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to ya buddy!
Excellent news, Sandy - glad to hear that he and his family are well. Sending him blessings from his beloved Afrodite!
That is terrific news! And I don't think he'll mind you posting this. After all, he frequently starts threads in the forums for other people's benefit. Thanks AIDY!
Awesome to hear that Cris and family are safe!! Many Blessings to you Cris!
Please keep us updated...
Thank you AIDY for this post..
I just dropped in to express my gratitude for all your good wishes, kind thoughts and show of concern. They are more than enough to keep my spirit from breaking. I truly, deeply appreciate your gesture. A million thanks to all of you.
Cris, do you need money? Im sure that there are many of us who would happily send you a couple of dollars to a paypal account or something. Well, I can only speak for myself, but I would....
I would too, and I am sure many others on here would too. Just say the word Cris!
So would I. Thanks for the suggestion, Ryan.
I am so grateful to hear from you Cris and your family have made it through.
Just remember, the gesture remains open...
Many blessings to all that are rebuilding...love and light!
sandy, ryan, cindy
I have lost many things in the flood including my pride but I'd have to refuse your thoughtful offer. I guess a devastated man does not begin to pick up the pieces again with money but with the kindness and support of his friends. But I thank you so so much, I know you would if I ask and that's more than enough for me.
Well you just have to say the word and I'm sure that we could manage a little whip round. I look forward to reading your poetry at some stage in the near future.
Don't rule this out Cris, we shall always support you and we woud gladly help you out financially if you need us to.
You have the kindness and support of your friends.
I respect you for not accepting charity - the Filipino pride. If you manage to get the computer up and running, I will see if I can find a little writing work for you. No promises, but I have a few clients who may be interested
We are here. Just say the word.
-superhugs-
Cris A glad to see you're okay. You can do it. You have the strength and the will and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to recover. We're here for you. Take care.
Chri A,
Very glad you and your family are ok. I am with the majority here, anything you need just let us know, we will help you as much as you need. I've been there, it is hard to start over. We are thinking of you.
dori
You have out thoughts Chris, and no doubt you'll get out of it stronger than you ever were.
Good to hear Cris is ok, but it's gotta be really something to go through. That storm hit hard, and a lot of people were killed or are homeless. God bless and keep them, and help them through their troubles. Thank you so much for the update, Cosette. I just don't think he'd mind at all. He didn't sound mad in the email. What a good guy.
Chris A - my thoughts and prayers go to you and your family...
thinking and praying about you, and wanting to help in any way, any way at all
Cris A, my friend! Hang in there buddy!!! My heart is with you....
Cris! I haven't been on much, so I'm so glad I checked in tonight...
I'm so sorry for what you've been going through, but please know that you have been in my thoughts, and Tom and I have been hoping you would come back on soon, so we could see for ourselves that you were okay...
Hang in there, okay? I can't imagine what you're going through, but know you have tons of well-wishes from all of us here...
@tony
And we wouldn't have you any other way. Gotta go back to hubbing soon, I heard it's therapeutic and cathartic. Nice seeing you. I'll be checking out your hubs soon as I need a kick in the system to get me restarted.
@tammy
Thanks a lot. All your wellwishes have not gone unnoticed as they're like tony bubbles of hope. Hang I shall even if by a thread.
@Misha
Thanks. Umm is that rising water behind you?
Very glad you're ok Cris. You really should think about letting your friends do something more to help though. That's what we're here for.
Maybe you could click on my adsense-generated ads? LOL Seriously, I thank you all for your kindness. Your words have more than kept my "boat afloat" (pun intended).
@emie
And I'm glad to be back. Now I'm off to write the tale... Thanks again!
We are all relieved to know that you are OK. I hope you truly know how much we all care about our resident poet laureate and are all here for you and your family. My heart goes out to the people of your country.
He has helped so many, was so kind to me when i first came on hub pages, and encouraged me all the time,...... looking forward to a full update on you Cris are you listening....
I'm gonna be one of the first ones on it, when you write it, Cris. And I'll click all over everything, (serious, why not?) just to give you a little help. Glad you're back.
Again, I would like to thank everyone who have been generous with their show of support and concern. Your friendship shall forever dwell in my heart. A million thanks to you all.

This one's from an HP writer, Dusty or 50 Caliber, who's no longer with us. Thankfully, I saved his words to remember his kindness. This was on a hub I wrote in 2012.
